I swear that this very painting has come up in discussion before, but I forget where.

oh and also,
the "October 12th,2006" that is on the screen when daniel first starts using the computer...was NOT an accident.

The mouse has to be hovering over the time in the bottom right hand corner for it to show up like that. They'd have to have specifically positioned it there.

with all the care they put into doing the other stuff on the computer, why would they let something like that slip?
THANK YOU!!! I AGREE. It was not an accident. We are meant to think it was an accident, that way we "think" that the plot was never getting boring and that the creaters "knew what they were doing" all along and etc. I am glad they did this video, but taking that into account and Daniel mentioning the forum and all, well, I'm sure it was no accident.

sungurl wrote:Okay, so after the last week of lackluster events here at LG15, I wasn't going to post, but DANIEL...breaking and entering!?! Eeeeek. But I have to give you kudos for having the hat for the job, roflmao!!!!

So, a little confused about things as far as what we are really supposed to get from all of this other than that it sort of confirms indirectly that Bree was given a little cocktail that gives her that all over goody goody feelign about the cermony....

So the things that stuck out in my mind about this video is
* The cleanliness of the apartment (are they all neat freaks or what!?! I mean, Bree was pretty neat, had a little lapse, and is back to being neat again).
* Looked like robes or gowns hanging in the closet to me...
* Maybe the Greg Goodfried is in on it (ROFLOL) - okay, so that was me attempting to be funny since he is one of the creators, ha ha.
* Oh, and the other thing that came to mind is about the piccies of Daniel on the computer - the people could have used night vision to take the pics no???

Well all I can say is I sure hope Daniel knows what he's doing!!!! And I'm glad this helped get the curiosity juices flowing again....
I thought night vision was always green, or is that just me being stupid?

I don't think the actual poster is significant at all. It's just a common copy of a lithograph that was an advertisement for a brand (Robette, I assume) of absinthe. I doubt that the artist is well known or significant and this type of thing isn't neccessarily even thought to be fine art (especially not at the time it was made) by many people. I think that absinthe is the clue. Maybe it is the reason why Bree seemed a little dopey in the last video..

It was also the first post by another person (maluoi) who gave us all the maps. And the first post by another person who pointed to the map of Wickenburg from the Wikipedia page in the plot discussion board.

well then I got to admittI'm totally confused because why on earth would they have this happen earlier in the day of the ceramony AND have him talk about videos that were posted after the 12?

Absinthe... says it's made with Wormwood... I heard that was a hallucinogen, but I'm not 100% on that one. BUT... Allister Crowley wrote an essay about it or something, I haven't read it over very well yet..

edit:

The Legend of Absinthe

Apollo, who mourned at Hyacinthe's demise,
Refused to concede this victory to Death.
Much better that the soul, adept in transformation,
Had to find a holy alchemy for beauty.
Thus with his celestial hand he drained and crushed
The subtlest harvest of the garden goddess,
The broken bodies of the herbs yielding a golden essence
From which we measure out our first drop -- of Absinthe!
In lowly hovels and in glittering courts,
Alone, in pairs, drink up this potion of desire!
For it is sorcery -- as one might say --
When the pale opal wine ends all misery,
Opens beauty's most intimate sanctuary --
- Bewitches my heart, and exalts my soul in ecstasy!
