I'm not sure how that's true "generally speaking", but specifically speaking, I can say that being raised catholic, before we were even allowed to participate in communion for the first time, we were sent to classes to learn all about the history and significance of the ritual. It wasn't just "Here, eat this, trust me it's good"...

And how. I remember one day one of the kids asked our teacher what sex was. She got all flustered, stammered out "Well that's just whether you're a boy or a girl, that's all that is!!" and immediately started a new lesson topic.

Bree has been set apart from the "real world" most of her life. Most homeschoolers are. Their parents control the enviroment that they live in and filter out whatever they choose. It could be that Bree has just always followed these ways and these rules...maybe she doesn't know to act elsewise.
She is very trusting of these people. They might have told her that her friend was crossing the line and that they wanted to confuse him by performing a fake ceremony. That way he would stop following her and allow them to perform the real one.
Bree probably believed them because she accepted their reasoning. She knows that the ceremonies are secret and need to be protected.
But when Daniel showed her the photos, she became scared because why would they need to follow him, if they just wanted to fake him out so he would go away?
On the other hand...my instincts are telling me that she knows so much more than she puts off. It seems like she helped them trap Daniel. She should know that its wrong, especially since she has been friends with Daniel a long time. How far will she be willing to go to protect her beliefs? Maybe she doesn't know what the ceremony is, but she should know if they are or if they are not after Daniel and why.

By teacher he means 'nun' and by flustered he means 'beat the kid with a ruler'.

Haha, actually no. I didn't go to catholic school, thank bob. But I was sent to classes at the church to learn about the religion. They weren't taught by nuns, just members of the church, some wackier than others.
I was also an altar boy...how messed up is that...

Ah, luckeh. Not all nuns are mean...but the ones that are, damn...I await the tasteless jokes based on your altar boy past.

You condemned yourself to put a picture of her in the "get to know each other" forum! and no critical thinking, just post the picture of Trevor!

Probably the same reason my suspected femal is named Ned.

This type of artform is most definately not for you. but keep on wishing that you have any effect on the plot line!
ok that was a bit harsh, but seriously, try to stay realistic
what's your proof of that?
furthermore, "realistic" would be expecting a logical storyline that is consistent in itself without deviating to follow (with extremely suspicious regularity) all of the speculation on these boards. gee guys, we predicted EVERY plot twist, including a rather bizarre 'fake ceremony' one. i don't think i'm the one engaged in wishful thinking here
danny boys video when he broke in to lucy apt, date on the comp was 10-12...danny boys video of taping the ceremony wasnt even released until the 13th, so thats atleast 3 videos that were filmed before you asshats could cry about how about boring everything was.
PS Does anyone else think Bree's pupils are dilated?
PSS stupid quote boxes
I'm gonna say again... Why does it matter when it was filmed? Aren't we here, on this forum, FOR FUN?
If you are bothered by people who think that the Creators might pull ideas from their fans, why are you still on this forum? Wouldn't the wisest solution to your annoyance be discontinuing visiting here?
ughh do I really have to explain this....if these videos were filmed BEFORE they even released the ones you didn't like, how on earth could your opinions have had any effect on them?
Yeah, okay, I understand you think that these videos were filmed before the ones that were released earlier. That didn't answer my question, you just said the same thing you already posted.
WHY does it matter if some posters don't believe that the videos weren't filmed in chronological order? Regardless of when they were filmed, does it affect you in some way?
Does stating that you are MUCH smarter and obviously more clever than everyone else on this board make you feel better about yourself? It doesn't matter when they were filmed. Nor does it matter if some people believe the opposite of yourself. It doesn't hurt you in any way. It's a different opinion. Posting that we're all IDIOTS for thinking that videos that correspond chronologically were filmed chronologically is bad manners and completely unnecessary.
I understand that you believe that the videos were filmed out of order and that you believe we're all retarded for having optimistic, wishful thoughts that our opinions as fans might affect what the Creators produce.
I don't believe its right to attack people for cheerily suggesting ideas in an open forum. I'm sorry if this post is a little heated, but this is just silly.
