Guys, Daniel didn't want to swim because it was probably too cold out, thats why he had a jacket on, plus if I was in his shoes I wouldnt be in much of a swimming mood either. Daniel is trying to figure out what to do, while Bree is acting like a child and playing with her stuffed animals, someone has to stay sane you know. Daniel has so much stress on his shoulders, I don't blame him that he isn't in the mood to swim.

Me too, Spacie, me too. By the way if I ever saw a 17 year old girl hangin out by the hotel pool with her little hairy friends, I'd probably smack her in the face.
and then i would smack you in the face and beat the sh** out of you for being a bully.
Again lighten up dude. I seriously doubt you'd beat the crap out of me anyway, but seriously your threats on the internet do nothin for me.

My kid wouldn't have a prayer if I had to stuff something up his beloved Sam in a hurry.....he'd find chewed-up gum in a wrapper, a couple of lint-coated aspirin, a few Wal-Mart receipts, and Target gift card with $1.26 left on it. Plus, he'd need therapy after finding his bear violated.

Well, since Egypt is in the mix I found this. I hope OWEN isn't evil!

The turtle was associated with Set, and so with the enemies of Ra who tried to stop the solar barque as it traveled through the underworld. This was because the turtle was associated with night, and so came to symbolize darkness and evil.

OWEN!!!

Maybe the cult is goint to sacrifice OWEN! (Broken Kid isn't going to be very happy about this)

Good find, Luv2Skydive.

BTW, if we're going to discuss stuffed animals, let it be known now: I'm pro stuffed animals! (although not insanely so) And spaciegirl, we can safely assume, is against the stuffed animals.

Well, obviously, he doesn't want to take a nice, frosty, hard-nippled dip in the pool if it's cold outside. I just think that it's, possibly, significant that there's been two seperate occaisons where a point has been made about Daniel and water being a no-go.

This is the closest I could get to a monkey:

Baboon - The dog-headed baboon was one of the manifestations of both Thoth, god of writing, and Khonsu, the youthful moon god. Both deities were related to the moon. Hapy, the son of Horus who guarded the canopic jars that held the lungs, had the head of a baboon. There was also a baboon god in the Early Dynastic period named Hedjwer, 'The Great White One', who became closely linked with Thoth. Sometimes Thoth was shown in baboon form, perched on top of the scales of judgement in the underworld.

Wasn't that tarot deck Crowley made called the Thoth deck?

Bear cults:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_worship

Bear
Main article: Bear worship
The bear enjoys a large measure of respect from all cultures that come in contact with it, which shows itself in apologies and in festivals in its honour. The most notable ceremonies involving bears are found in East Asia. The Ainu people, who maintain a ceremony called Iomante, are considered to be the only remaining bear cult. This ceremony is not as popular among the Ainu as it one was, but is still practiced in small, private gatherings.

There is a similar festival among the nearby Nivkhs, but here it takes the form of a celebration in honour of a recently dead kinsman, to whom the spirit of the bear is sent. There have been some attempts to revive the practice.

There is a good deal of evidence to connect the Greek goddess Artemis with a cult of the bear. Girls danced as "bears" in her honour, and might not marry before undergoing this ceremony. According to mythology, the goddess once transformed a nymph into a bear and then into the constellation Ursa Major.

The bear is traditionally associated with Bern, Switzerland. It is believed that the city's name derives from the Germanic word for "bears" (Bären in German) and a bear is featured on the city's flag and coat of arms. In 1832 a statue of the Celtic bear goddess Artio was dug up there.
