The original for the Order was to get her to do the ceremony, OpAphid just encouraged her at first I believe. I agree with Lad that Op's original goal was to track down Tachyon and get her and the information she stole.

perhaps the accomplishment of Oppy's original goal will show how involved OpAPHID is with the Order.

I've always been under the impression that OpAphid was the "branch" of the Order in charge of keeping the secrets.

I've always assumed those people are the members of OpAphid.

I figured the original goal was either to get rid of Tachyon or to finish off Brother. But I emailed her and she just said "colder".

I fail at OpAphid.

Okay here are a few of my random thoughts. i believe the ceremony could take place on the spring equinox. that is a significant date in some cults. i also am leaning towards the idea that the already had Tachyon, and she may unknowingly be helping the order...

yeah, OpAPHID seems to be some sort of "security" branch, or the Order's version of the NSA, but we still dunno who the Watchers are. Are they babysitters who "watch" people like Daniel to discipline them when needbe, or do they "watch" OVER people like Bree, making sure no one and nothing harms them, including groups like OpAPHID who make me thing they may be a type of rebel group within the Order?

Talking about this makes me think of something slightly different. Under the assumption of Tachyon never having said anything against the Order in general (I don't remember her ever doing so), Tachyon could be a part of a sort of IA (internal affairs) sent by Mom and Dad (the actual heads of the Order) to investigate OpAPHID.

i looked at the way u worded the e-mail.

maybe everyone is wrong; getting Tachy was NOT the original short-term goal.

Where I'm getting Jonas' house from is that I don't think she was talking at all about the original original goal at all. I think she was referring to the goal that she was pursuing immediately before the sudden shift of objectives that occured when Daniel announced he was going back to the bowling alley.

Oh, okay, I knew that. I misunderstood your post. I thought that based on a detailed analysis of all previous emails you had some sort of revelation here. I'm thinking too much I guess.

Considering the reading material Tachyon has so generously left behind, young Daniel certainly has our sympathy. Now had they been Hardy Boys books, that would be an entirely different story.

Side note: I think at some point they/one of them hits their/her head(s) and switch places? I don't remember, though. If so, Op's reference could be a jab at Daniel's short-term defection. But I could be totally off about that. It would be funny, though.

EDIT after Panda's comment: I guess I was thinking of something else, so disregard the above.

I also think that Op has mentioned the Hardy Boys at some point, but I don't remember when or in what way. Could be worth looking into. Don't know.
