I believe they were watching Julie's sentencing. That was where everyone was going I believe - because then Alex comes up to Jack and in their whole "I'll answer if you answer" I think she said everyone was going to watch Julie's sentence read.Mirage wrote:The thing is, that's really not a "HUGEOMGWTFBBQ" question. We shall nonetheless move forward to carve a name for ourselves in the annals of bold insurgency and death-defying derring-do. Once I have a keen blade at my hip and the Jolly Roger is flapping high above me, I believe I will find my true calling.

Locke is played by Terry O'Quinn. And from what I've read (interviews and fans who have met him, so I'm not exactly an "authority" ) he IS really nice.
But in EW ( http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20011203_2,00.html ), when discussing the "clumsy" Eko death, it says:
Oooh, the dramah!

So maybe we can read between the lines that the "friction" between the two is why the wish to exit was "accelerated" ?The producers wish they could have sicced Smokey on the warlord-turned-holy man later in the season, but the death was moved up to accommodate the actor's wish to exit the show. Not that anyone sounds terribly bothered by the accelerated execution. ''I don't miss him at all,'' says Terry O'Quinn, whose Locke matched wits and sticks with Eko. ''They cast people so perfectly that you confuse the actors and the characters. You feel an affinity for the ones you're supposed to, and friction with the ones you're supposed to. That was a very friction-filled relationship.'' (Akinnuoye-Agbaje declined to comment.)
Oooh, the dramah!

Oooh, nice idea! The other thing theory about the "watching" thing that I read on another site was someone was mentioning that not only were Goodwin/Ethan sent to their respective camps to be Judases and kidnappers and mayhemers, but to "watch". That's why Tom says the glass house comment to Jack, because what Ethan would have reported (Sawyer getting tortured, Jin getting handcuffed, etc) would sound pretty Lord of the Flies to the Others.djmadscribbler wrote:I believe they were watching Julie's sentencing. Even if it is the case that they were just there to witness the "trial/sentencing", I still think that it was a clumsy and annoying scene. And Cindy's line--"It's complicated"--Dude, come the hell on. I am so sick of not one damn question on this show getting actually ANSWERED.
Sigh. I'm sorry. Maybe if you give me a bunch of chocolate I'll stop being so bitter.

No that was Bai Ling. Er, her name was Achoo or something? Cindy is the stewardess from the plane that gave him the extra vodka (semi flirty IMHO) and was on the tallies side. When Ana Lucia started bringing them all back with Sawyer on the stretcher she just kinda...dissapeared.charliebrown wrote:Was Cindy the werid girl that Jack got the tattoo from?

Now thiswas a good episode. Not like, OMGWTFAWESOME!, but a decent, solid episode that almost makes up for the shitstorm that was last week. It reminded me of "old school" season 1, which is a good thing. And I'm actually psyched from what I saw of next weeks, surprisingly enough. It was cute, and entertaining. Yes it didn't solve anything or whatnot, but it didn't feel like a chore to get through. It was enjoyable...and reminded me of the Lost I fell in love with in the first place.
