that's a possibility. I think there were things like that we could have tried, that would have changed the course of the game.psychobunnie wrote:also, after watching Response video #1. jeromy says we needed or he needed to get the attention of certain people. (possibly the creators?)
maybe we were all, as an entire group, supposed to ask the creators to merge with Maddison Atkins?
idk. i could be WAY off. but this is me trying to think up ANYTHING to get the ball rolling again.
any possible OOG hints from Jeromy

- picked the pigeon for a reason, or according to (Video: Question #21) "knows the alternate definenition to the word pigeon, but picked it for other reasons"
which lead me to look up the definition of pigeon, and one of the definitions is "easy mark." possible lead?
Pigeon can also mean "an uneducated, naive, or unsophisticated gambler....a sucker"
Maddy was sooooo naive.
That's my tentative "why Maddy?" theory. She was so naive and easy to draw in. How many girls would go along with something so threatening without telling anyone?
So I think pigeon = the flock and pigeon=Maddy=easy mark.
actually to clarify her question to jeromy, MissyDanger asked if jeromy knew of those 2 definitions for pigeon:
1. An Easy Mark
2. A Young Woman
http://one.revver.com/watch/258958
Jeromy answered that he did know those definitions, but that he had chosen it for other reasons
what are the other definitions for pigeon besides those 3?

"We place no reliance on virgin or pidgeon. Our method is science, our aim is religion."
Well maybe Zipp relied on a pigeon to indicate that he is not a member of the Hymn of One.
Simple, wash and wear kind of idea.

It's simple enough and I think this may be the way we should be thinking... alot of puzzles can go on forever because we keep trying to ''read between the lines'' and find deeper meanings...giddeanx wrote:"We place no reliance on virgin or pidgeon. Our method is science, our aim is religion."

Now some answers are supposedly obvious... this seems to be an obvious answer.

I thought when he said he had chosen it for other reasons he meant that the main reason he used a pigeon was because he had access to one, a friend has them.LesterG wrote: Jeromy answered that he did know those definitions, but that he had chosen it for other reasons

I am inclined to say that the final answer is
pigeon=friend had them
symbolic of the flock
maddy was an easy mark
but that's just me, I am done researching pigeons!

lol yea, I'm hate pigeons now, I'm gunna agree with you. I'm done researching them too and I like giddeanx's explanation of why he used the pigeon... to show that he was not of the hymn of one.sparkybennett wrote:I thought when he said he had chosen it for other reasons he meant that the main reason he used a pigeon was because he had access to one, a friend has them.LesterG wrote: Jeromy answered that he did know those definitions, but that he had chosen it for other reasons

To go along with gidd's Hymn of One/not Hymn of One explanation...
Didn't Jeromy at one point indicate that one of his little quibbles was disliking it when folks spelled the word with a "d"...? (I remember that because I can be a Spelling Nazi myself... <snicker>) EveryeveryEVERY time I see that quote on the Hymn of One page, my first thought is of Walter Pidgeon (Ol' Time actor), and I start worrying about just what it is they're not relying on him for, so... <shrug>
Just my impossibly goofy input...

no you're right. I was thinking Jeromy may have been referring to the HoO page.chershaytoute wrote:To go along with gidd's Hymn of One/not Hymn of One explanation...

But seriously I am done with pigeons and pidgeons.

Meaning that maybe mr. zipp lived with maddison? duh duhhhh. In Chinese martial art (wushu) films and dramas, homing pigeons are often used for "Pigeon Mail". People often labor under the misapprehension that the pigeons know where to deliver the mail. The fact is that they can only go back to one "mentally marked" point that they have identified as their home. So "pigeon mail" can only work when the sender is actually holding the receiver's pigeons.
This is my first post, but I've been watching these all day trying to crack this (and I've been watching LG since almost the beginning!). I can't help but think the pigeons may have some sort of biblical and/or religious connotation (symbolic if you will!)..A quick search remined me of the bible stories involving pigeons, as you can see http://www.bible-history.com/isbe/P/PIGEON/ at that site. If you read through it you might recognize some things that can possibly be clues.
The second thing I wanted to mention (since I haven't seen anyone else mention it) was why did she know the password to the account? They made sure to mention it several times in the videos that she "would know the password" yet no one mentions what the password was or how she knew what it was. This might be an important clue.
Perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree with both of these but I can't help but think they mean something.
