Agreed. I think the embargo on the secret was to let others figure it out and see who was worthy. Rather than just post it for everyone and flood the lines so to speak.
I think that is what the afternoon thing was referring to.
The more I think about it, I think the message we heard is the next puzzle.

has anyone posted a transcript of the message? i haven't seen one, which is probably the way it should be, but it's time for those of us who heard it to maybe start dissecting it.

Some can be trusted with a secret, while others obviously cannot.
Do not be so quick to believe everything that you read, especially when there are agents amongst you who wish to interfere by spreading disinformation.
The truly worthy should ask themselves if they understand what is being asked of them.
Only then will they be prepared for the challenges that await.
Hmmm...scrambled up, those say 'DOTS...' but I don't think that helps...

I put a partial transcript of the message up earlier. Here it is again:
Each success only buys an admission ticket to a more difficult problem. [Henry Kissinger]
It is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong.
[Voltaire]
Mistakes are the portals to discovery.
[James Joyce]
Alas, never interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake.
[Napoleon]
It is possible to fail in many ways, while to succeed is possible only in one way.
[Aristotle]
Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time.
[Arnold H. Glasgow]
A story is told as much by silence as by speech.
[Susan Griffin]
Arnold H. Glasgow is apparently a psychologist, although it seems impossible to find anything out about him on the Internet, other than the fact that he has a ton of quotes. Susan Griffin is a feminist writer, known for works on the femine body. The other people, I hope you all know.
That's everything from the message except the congratulations at the beginning and the instruction to wait at the very end. Neither of those sentences were quotes. The last quote (the Susan Griffin one) is appended with OpAphid's own commentary "except in this case," which is probably relevant.

posted the message and tweaked it to be more of a transcript.
semi-coherently makes sense when put together this way.
so let's aim to find the meaning in what it actually says before dissecting influence from the quoted.

is it possible that the fact that these are quotes is meaningless? i mean, most of her videos end with reverse audio being a quote from someone and ive never seen much look into it with them. or should we have been looking at them to?

Where might someone in either ciw or lg15 have made a mistake? Are any obvious?

I think that they want us to discuss this as much as possible. maybe to weed out the liars?

I tried to find a connection between all the people whom she quoted, but I really couldn't find anything except for the fact that both Voltaire and Napoleon were sent to exile.

I was thinking that this might be a criticism of Cassie's attempt to tell the story--she was well known for keeping mum about the important plot points (who she was, where she was, why she was, etc.). So in this case, the story has not been told as much by her silence as it will be by OpAphid's speech? Perhaps?

I went through line by line, and came up with this:
But remember, each success only buys an admission ticket to a more difficult problem. Ok, this is fairly obvious, there will be an even more difficult puzzle to solve.
It is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong. This says, to me that whatever OpAphid is standing for is unconventional. Maybe even looked down upon.
Mistakes are the portals of discovery. Alas, never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. I haven't figured out who the enemy is exactly yet...perhaps the "authorities" from above? But everyone makes mistakes and we should let the mistakes happen so that we can see where the weakness is.
It is possible to fail in many ways, while to succeed is possible only in one way: Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time. This is straight forward as well.
A story is told as much by silence as by speech...except in this case. I thought this had to do with keeping the secret, but the "except in this case" throws me off.
And then wait for further instruction.
Again, exactly what it says.
This is just my version of things
so far. Maybe it will inspire someone else.

you know wat i was thinking...maybe the number was wrong...maybe when she says "Mistakes are the portals of discovery. Alas, never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." means that we made amistake...and that shes not gonnalet us know...but that implys we are the enemy and choosing sides is pointless...so...i guess this doesnt make sense...anyone try to call the number backwards?

My feeling on the whole mistake thing is slightly different. I was always taught to learn from my mistakes and change my behavior/actions. So, in my brain, as much as we don't want our enemies to learn and grow, we should not interfere with our enemies when they are making mistakes. to do so could alter the outcome.

I think that these two quotes are a hint and a warning. OpAphid has been making appearance based on discrediting others, and I think that's relevant for understanding how to operate with the clues it gives us. That is, we should be aware of mistakes in CiW or Lonelygirl15 (maybe all those loose ends that never got tied up?). The second quote here looks like a warning to us--OpAphid's enemies, and the enemies of those who side with OpAphid, are going to be particularly dangerous.

This is why I love the boards...4 people came up with 4 totally different interpretations of one line. That's great!
As for that line. I think that without a clear definition of who "the enemy" is, there is no way we can know what the line means. Like you guys said, it could mean we made a mistake, or Ciw, or Lg15. But without knowing exactly who the enemy is, there is no way of knowing what the mistake was, or will be.
