Completely agree. The same thing happened with Lois & Clark, which I loved until TPTB married them off and then couldn't figure out what to do with them.trainer101 wrote:No, No and No some more.
Any of you who are old enough to remember "Moonlighting" will understand. As soon as Bruce Willis and Cybil Shephard hooked up, the tension was gone and the series was doomed.
Besides, the Bree's-religion plot is far more interesting than any lame rehash of the typical romance plot could be.

I remember watching that with my mother when I was really young.trainer101 wrote:No, No and No some more.

Perhaps a more recent example is Jim and Pam on The Office. Do I love the tension? Yes yes yes yes yes!
Do I want to see them be all love-y as a couple? No.
The tension is half the fun. After the relationship starts it's all gushy schnookums kind of stuff or fighting.
The best entertainment relationships are those that start right as the end of the movie/show comes around. Once they get together you have othing more to root for.

I'm kinda indifferent. It'd be a very Joey-loves-Dawson scenario (if that isn't one of the most overused comparisons! ). I like Bree and Daniel how they are now, even if there is a form of tension between them.

Agreed. They gotta keep the sexual tension for the viewers to remain interested. If they "do it," it just wouldn't be the same. Unless they're intending to use this series to market a lonelygirl porno....but I don't think thats the case.Flautapantera wrote:I'm kinda indifferent. Am I the only one who doesn't actually see any sexual tension? These two don't really seem to fit together to me, nor do I really care if they do.
When Daniel and Bree had their kiss, she talked about it more like it was an experience, not like it had some deep meaning for her. She researched kissing and played it out with her stuffed animals, for goodness sake. There was no romantic musings that you might expect from a crushing 16 year old girl.
No "he smelled so good" or "his lips were so soft" (puke), but her attacking Thor in a cold, calculating attack.
I think they should just stay friends. She's much to emotionally immature/situationally screwed to be getting into anything with a boy.

I don't see much in the way of sexual tension either, silvermoon. The "I missed you too" comment from Daniel a few vids back seemed more to me like deep caring than sexuality.silvermoon wrote:Am I the only one who doesn't actually see any sexual tension?
