Didn't she imply that Bree lived in that secret society community for a while? I think Gemmers is talking to us.ViolinAddict wrote:It almost seems like she's talking to Bree when she says "It's not a religion after all. It's more like a secret society." Obviously... Bree has been misinformed about the group she was following. *gulp*
And what does she mean by "it's better than what could have happened."?! Yikes.

I just went to wikipedia and typed in The Order...this is what I got...
The Order (also called the Silent Brotherhood and Aryan Resistance Movement) was a neo-Nazi organization active in the United States between 1983 and 1984. The Order described themselves as a "white nationalist revolutionary group"'.

Ha I know this isn't relevant...well I hope not...

Did anyone else also feel as if the target audience the video was directed at was a little unclear?
At first it is obvious she is speaking directly to Bree.
However, when she says "For starters, I can tell you everything I know.", this statement is a little vague. It could mean one of two things: It either infers that she and Bree have been communicating outside of the videos, and that Bree sought Gemma's help in finding out more about the religion / secret society, or Gemma is trying to help us, the fans.
For some reason [Maybe it's the cough syrup I had earlier to help with my nasty cold] I feel almost as if she's directly speaking to Bree, rather than us, throughout the video.

It's also the name of a not-so-scary movie that deals more with the end of the world and less with secret society. The Creators picked such a dumb name; a million billion things pop up on google with the word 'order' in themkhjq wrote:I just went to wikipedia and typed in The Order...this is what I got...

Unfortunately, Wikipedia is never a reliable source of information, regardless. Anyone can edit the content of the page at any time. I could simply click "Edit this page", and go on to detail about how "The Order" is an organization mean to worship Winnie the Pooh.
I definitely wouldn't be relying on anything put forth by Wikipedia.

Gemma is talking to us and to Bree. I also think Gemma knows much more about this "Order" than Bree ever has, so she will be very useful with valuable information.
By the way, didn't the title "Order" come from the forums to start with? I think the creators are just going with the title that we have called it anyway.

I think it came from that driving video where she says "order of Denderah".omegawoman wrote:Gemma is talking to us and to Bree. I also think Gemma knows much more about this "Order" than Bree ever has, so she will be very useful with valuable information.

Yes and, roxybebito wrote:But what about the equinox and the religion camp?
Aleister Crowley, Enochian, Bibliomancy, the Unicusal Hexagram (at the top of LG15 page), Thelema (in Greek at the bottom of the page), 10/12/06 (Crowleys Birthday),the Ceremony, The Order of Denderah, the injections, the maps (on Lucy's computer), Elders, Deacons, communes and communities.
How do all these clues and dropped hints fit together?
And now Gemma "it is not Thelema, but a secret society, called The Order" and they learn ancient Egyptian.
I'm confused, does anyone think there is any consistency here? Or are they just making it up as they go, the hell with consistency!

Not a religion? Good gosh, was not Bree and Daniel's little breakup over him not accepting her "religion"? How many freaking times have we heard that word in these videos. And now it's not a religion?!
**sigh**
And now everyone had to learn ancient Egyptian? Bree had to learn Enochian (which isn't really even a spoken language). Can't these people just speak English like everybody else?!?
What are the chances of us being able to find out anything about a made up secret society that speaks Egyptian? This is actually almost making me wish for another stupid "Proving Science Wrong"...almost.

No, I think Bree told us everything that she knew about her "religion." This doesn't mean she was actually taught correctly growing up. Remember, Bree was the chosen one so certian things may have been explained to her differently. Gemma may know the truth. Gemma may be just trying to explain the truth to Bree.robtomorrow wrote:Yes and, roxybebito wrote:But what about the equinox and the religion camp?

Just a theory- I have been wrong many, many times before.
Another thought to add- alot of "religions" and "cults" often have different branches with different belief systems. Could it be that Gemma and Bree, since Bree's family left the commune could be in different branches?

THE ORDER???
All those wasted hours researching obscure religions. Oh well I guess I learnt somthing in the process, but as others have mentioned what about the shrine, the shots, the enochian etc. etc.
hmmm is anyone else starting to think that maybe the creators have changed the script to try and end this sooner than they planned? Or is it just a convienient way to steer the plot away from the Thelema angle?
