Ahem. To get back to the topic . . . Pi has some really good points. I agree with beavinator, though, that we'd better get some substance pretty soon.
Forum to post messages about Bree and Danielbeast

At the risk of going off-topic again, I like your avatar too Lass. Sinfest is great. And yes, we need a change-up in these vids soon.Languorous Lass wrote:Ahem. To get back to the topic . . . You recognized it! Cool! You're the first one.beavinator wrote:At the risk of going off-topic again, I like your avatar too Lass. Sinfest is great.

Ooo, yeeeah. Let's not call it a theory just yet. That was my brain desperately trying to make all this symbolism actually relate to something concrete. I feel like we're going in circles.beavinator wrote:This is amusing to me, as I'm currently playing Resident Evil, a game in which exactly these sorts of experiments took place, only they were going for Bio-Organic Weapons, not eternal life. They even combined lizard DNA with people, creating some REALLY nasty monsters called "hunters". If your theories are correct, Daniel better find a shotgun...Pi wrote:Anyways, I’m not sure if I’m pretending Bree is a lizard (cuz I've been itchin to do a Bree/Lizard morph in photoshop) or that The Order is some kind of organization doing weird experiments on people in pursuit of that holy grail of eternal youth, or a long/everlasting life.
I enjoy some of the spinoffs immensely, sometimes even moreso than the creators' vids, but I don't really see how the two have much to do with each other. Either the creators have a "master plan" leading toward a specific story conclusion, which ultimately can't be affected by spinoffs, or they are flying by the seat of their pants, allowing the forums and other videos to shape the story, meaning they aren't ultimately leading toward anything. These two possibilities are mutually exclusive. I'm seriously hoping it's not the latter. That was kinda my initial point in creating this thread.sparkybennett wrote:I think if I only followed the "canon" videos: Bree/Daniel/gemma I would have that floundering sensation.
But whenever I watch a spinoff; Opahid, Tachyon, Ms Kelly, Nikki Bowers
I get the feeling that it is all part of a master plan, coming together sslloowwlllyyy. I really hope it all comes together , and I really hope the Creators have a plan......

I have a theory about what her shots were, but with all theories this is a chance I'm way off. Anyway what I was thinking is that the shots were Ketamine.Pi wrote:I dunno, Bree was getting shots and taking pills and Lucy had a poster for absineth which implies some kind of ‘sedative.’
source- http://www.projectghb.org/ketamine.htmKetamine is essentially a less-potent version of PCP. While ketamine and GHB and MDMA provide out of body experiences and whack reality quite a bit, it is still a bit below the out-to-lunch level of PCP trips. But, of course, that varies with the amount taken and other drugs combined with it.
One Ket user stated, “If you take enough [it will] give you a preview of your own death, put you in contact with seraph-like entities, and convince you that you’ve just seen God in a disco ball.” ...
Ketamine is a psychedelic anesthetic classified medically as a dissociative anesthetic.....It is sold legitimately only to hospitals and physicians.
It produces a dissociative state in the central nervous system in which amnesia and profound analgesia (loss of pain) are induced, though the patient does not appear to be asleep...
It may produce pleasant dream-like states, vivid imagery, hallucinations and possibly extreme delirium. This usually lasts only a few hours.
After watching the Forbes interview with the Creators on YouTube, you theory sounds possible.beavinator wrote:Am I the only one who feels like this series is starting to flounder a bit? The videos are all starting to fit into a pattern:
1. Make brief reference to the trouble they're in.
2. Tell a silly, seemingly unrelated story which MAY be awash in meaningful, important clues, or may just be random nonsense.
3. Be sure to mention the stuffed animals.
I feel like the creators really have no idea where they're going with any of this, so they're stalling, giving us videos with a little bit of what everybody wants, without actually leading anywhere. They keep the cutesy people happy with stuffed animals and Daniel doing sweet things for Bree. They keep the mystery people happy with random stories and random things in the background they can dig through for clues. "Let's keep mentioning water, that'll keep 'em guessing!"
I could be totally wrong. Maybe all these seemingly random unrelated stories they keep telling us really DO contain vital clues, all of which will culminate in a masterpiece of creative storytelling by the end of the series. But it's starting to seem more to me like they are just trying to please everyone but don't really have any kind of plan behind it, or their plan keeps shifting so often to try to accomodate everyone that it simply isn't working.
Is there anybody else who feels this way?
Thanks for the links, I hadn't seen that. Yeah, it kinda sounds like they are trying for the best of both worlds. We'll see how it ends up...onetruegnome wrote:After watching the Forbes interview with the Creators on YouTube, you theory sounds possible.

Maybe they have a general idea and rough outline where they would like the story to go, but tailor it as they go along, partly to satisfy viewers.
