Well you apologized and seem sincere, so apology accepted, and no hard feelings on my part. I hope everyone else feels the same.

and yes I would have found it offensive regardless of the subject
Ok, good to know. In the sense that it's an individual who other people care about (no matter how dishonorable a person I may see them as) I can understand why it can be seen as offensive.

Not sure what you mean, but I can't help but think it sounds a little extreme.

Now that people have apologized and gone back to their kind ways:
Please stop throwing the word censorship around. It sounds like some people actually believe using the word makes some kind of important political statement. There are people around the world who are killed for speaking their minds. Censorship is a tool used by tyranical governements to suppress their people. People, such as journalist, artist and musicians, have to flee from their native lands to avoid censorship. I just feel like someone bringing up a point about something they find offensive has little to do with censorship. It is about one's opinion. I think an avatar of any exploding head is gross: my saying so is not censorship. Censorship would be if you were denied a job or schooling or a safe life because of your avatar. Think about it: your avatar and how people feel about it is very trite and insigificant in light of real issues in the world. I don't care about your purposefully shocking head. I remember being young and doing things just for the sake of doing them. So what.

I hope Slainte doesn't leave. All opinions are good. I hope JustAnotherLonelyGirl keeps her spongebob avatar (I also hope she finished her college applications). I hope I can stop getting huffy and offended as if my opinion matters to anyone but me.

However, please calm down about issues like censorship unless there is truly something at stake. Really. Come on, now. I'm just sayin'. In my opinion. etc. etc. etc. Most-Condescending-Post-Ever... "shut up, gogo!"

oh, and i think it would be sad if slainte left just because of my avatar and this whole silly discussion. i don't have any hard feelings, because i know at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and i respect everyone's opinion greatly.

Thats because he was in their imaginations, he was their fears, kinda like Freddy Krueger, can't run from that dude.
