And it's an answering machine for Pal's Dry Cleaners. It's actually really weird. Dress shirts have an 8-9 day turnaround???? WTF?? The message says:
Hello, and thank you for calling Pal's Dry Cleaners. We are open seven days a week from 9am until 5pm. Our current specials are as follows: Dress Shirts...three for five dollars, with an eight to nine day turnaround time. We also offer rush service at a rate of of three shirts for twelve dollars. Please leave a message after the tone and we'll get back you as soon as possible. Thank you.

BTW, there is no Pal's Dry Cleaners in San Fransisco...
To get the alternate phone number. Use the numbers mentioned in the voicemail and reverse.

Reversed: (213) 985-3597

A voicemail from Bree's dad! He says:
"Bree, it's your father. If you're listening to this message, you managed to crack my code. Your mother and I are safe, and I need to talk to you alone. Confirm that you got this by sending me a secret message back. I'll meet you one week after that at the place where we used to talk about Feynman [or Simon?] and Jared Diamond. I know you're confused right now, but all will make sense once we talk. I'll see you soon, sweetie."
So spooky!
The message did NOT say PAL cleaners, it said POWELL cleaners. Powell is a street in San Francisco, and there are TWO laundromats on Powell Street:

1) Doo Wash Cleaners
1859 Powell St
San Francisco, CA 94133
(415) 885-1222

2) Nob Hill Cleaner & Laundry
954 Powell St
San Francisco, CA
(415) 397-0163

"big warehousey cathedral of a garage, in a building too charming to house cars. Handy for monthly parking if you're one of my neighbors with a car, because if you have to rely on street parking in the NB, you are fucked."

Hmm a warehouse..maybe where Daniel and Bree stayed
