I don't eat my oodles of noodles in a broth, I strain season and serve. (isn't alliteration terrific?)

I saw "crazy asian" and immediately thought of my best friend... That was one of his nicknames at our old workplace... Maybe because he got everyone hooked on crazy asian ramen, and everyone had it for lunch for about 3 months straight...

1) I LOVE noodles without broth, I prefer them that way.
2) Alliteration is absolutely awesome!

Anyone in SoCal should try Shinsengumi! I get the heavy oil broth, med cooked noodles.

Here's a review in LA Weekly:

Is this still a conversation for Bree, or might it be good in off the cuff where we can discuss our opinions about it?

I love you. <3 Simply because you're talking about proper ramen, too, not the dehydrated packet stuff. Just spent two weeks in Japan and became addicted to it - so cheap and good. That place really does look great, though.

And, well - up to thread creator, I guess, but I think we're a bit off-topic, yeaah. >.>

Beef. Definitely the beef. I'm not much of a meat eater but the taste of the beef broth is the best. Yum

For those of you who enjoy your noodles without the broth, may I suggest you try yakisoba? It literally means fried soba, and that's basically what it is; stir-fried soba noodles. You can get it with your choice of meat or with veggies, just like with ramen. You just won't have to deal with the soup.
