That freaked the hell out of me cause my dog JUST licked my hand when I got to the part about "Maniacs can lick hands too."
LMAO.....that story freaks out everyone I tell it to. I like how it ended...you know what happens next. No need to go further with the details.

Human looking robots. My worst ever fear is being on a ride at an amusement park like "Pirates of the Carribbean" or something and it breaking down and me having to walk through the moving, talking robots. GAH. I just got a shuddery feeling down my back typing it.

i'm terrified of heights, feet, drinking out of a drink after i left the room that it was in (i get scared bugs might go in it), germs, driving over bridges, having to get in/be around water that you can't see through (i avoid oceans) spiders, nails scratching a chalkboard, the dark, and frogs & lizards. ughhhhhh i hate amphibans.

That's a weird one! I went through a wax museum this summer and that freaked me out. I was waiting for one of them to actually move. The torture area was the worst! I kept picturing Vincent Price's movie.

1. I'm scared of heights if I have no control. (i.e. if there is no parachute on my back) skyrides and the ferris wheel TERRIFY me.
2. the drink thing bothers me to a certain degree....I put water in a cup at night and I often envision drinking a spider! Aghhhhh!
3. I overcame the deep water to some degree after snorkeling, but that first look underwater is torture. The darker and darker shade of blue is still very scary to me.
4. Scared of the dark too, from watching horror flicks at a very young age.

Hey, I'm working on cramming all comments into one post just for you.

Diving boards....that is weird. I'm with you on the feet and bed thing!! It reminds me of the story I heard when I was little:

Girl home alone with her dog.....maniac escapes asylum....her dog sleeps under her bed and she feels safe because she puts her hand down and the dog licks it. She hears dripping from the bathroom.....opens shower curtain...dog is hanging dead, dripping blood and on the mirror, written in blood, is the message "Maniacs can lick hands too".

I'm also scared of flies. No idea why.

Oh, and I have an irrational fear of the closet light being on and the door being closed. The light shining from underneath creeps me out.
Sounds like things that are "dirty" freak you out? Well, dirty like gross.

The cookie monster.

"C" is for cookie, that's good enough for me....yum,yum,yum,yum,yum,yum.

My son has one that sings that. It is creepy. He also used to have a Big Bird that had sensors in his eyes. When the lights would turn on he would say Peeekkkk-A-Boooo in a really creepy voice. I got rid of it when we had a lightning storm in the middle of the night and he did it over and over everytime the lightning came.

When I was little I was sick and running a high fever, I guess I was a bit delerious, but I dreamt that the cookie monster had eaten my doggies legs.
From then on I was terrified of him as a child, and now my stomach turns everytime I see him on something.

That would cause me to need therapy!

I was delirious with a high fever when I was young too and saw a witch flying around the room. THIS now absolutely paralyzes me:

I don't like spiders or snakes. I guess those are pretty common though and they're not to the point that I won't kill little spiders or run away screaming when I see a little snake. Hmm, I guess my fears are healthy ones. :P

Here's a little tidbit that might freak some people out. I've heard that people, on average, eat seven spiders in their sleep (can't remember if it's per year or in a lifetime). Apparently the little spiders that are in every home have a tendency to crawl into the mouths of sleeping people on occasion. :D

our friend still comes around once in a while but noone ever talks to them, so they just go away quietly.

Ohhhh yeah, that story creeps me out. I'm trying to remember where I originally heard it. My dog loves sleeping under the bed....of course, I'm wise enough not to hang my limbs off.

Maybe it is "dirty" things that scare me. heh. It's probably my mom's fault...she's crazy about that hand sanitizer stuff...lol
