Actually, yes, it would take off, if the belt were big enough and moving fast enough. It's not very practical, but it would work fine. In fact, there's already examples of this sort of thing that work perfectly well. Ever seen a catapult launch off of an aircraft carrier deck? Even if the engines weren't on the plane would still take off. The flight would be pretty darned short, but it would still fly.

fly then fall...fall down to the water then KABOOM.


i think the whole purpose is for it to fly and stay flying. lol
