I'm telling you, if you hear Weiland singing it you'll be all "YES".

This is the best cover in the history of covers. Harmonicas have nothing on Hendrix's guitars.

Higher Ground - Red Hot Chili Peppers (Stevie Wonder cover)
Sad Songs and Waltzes - Cake (Willie Nelson cover)
Ring of Fire - Social Distortion
In Between Days - Ben Folds (The Cure cover)
Making Plans for Nigel - Primus (XTC cover)
California Sun - The Ramones (The Rivieras cover)
Do You Wanna Dance? - The Ramones (this song was also covered by the Beach Boys - it was originally done by Bobby Freeman)
Renegades of Funk - Rage Against the Machine (Afrika Bambaataa and the Soulsonic Force cover) This was on their album Renegades which is all covers (they cover Minor Threat, MC5, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen etc. There's some good stuff here)
Landslide - The Smasing Pumpkins (Fleetwood Mac cover)
Dancing With Myself - Blink 182 (Billy Idol Cover)
Goody Two Shoes - Unwritten Law (Adam Ant cover) (these last two songs were on an album called "Before You Were Punk" which is new wave tunes covered by punk bands. There also a "Vol. 2")
There is a soundtrack to a movie called I Am Sam and all the songs are Beatles covers (I know Aimee Mann does one of them and I think the Black Crowes, Rufus Wainwright etc)

I'm sure I can come up some more later.

Wordy McWordington. Love me some Dusty. There was a time where I had to listen to "Wishing and Hoping" atleast once a day.

Coming in late, but have some to mention. Z, most of these I already emailed to ya :)

Snow Patrol - Crazy in Love (Beyonce cover)
Santa Esmeralda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (Nina Simone cover)

The I Am Sam Soundtrack is nothing but Beatles cover songs.

Pearl Jam - Love Reign O'er Me (Who cover)
Disturbed - Land of Confusion (Genesis cover)
Orgy - Blue Monday (New Order cover)

The album Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos is awesome.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Love Rollercoaster (The Ohio Players cover)

This just in - it's not available yet but Cake has a new album coming out (Rarities) and it has a cover of Never, Never Gonna Give You Up by Barry White. It's pretty good!
