The setting is the only thing that comes directly from my own experiences. Bree’s neighborhood, her swing, the school/mansion, and the tree outside her window are all real.

I GOT A REPLY FROM THE AUTHOR!!!!!
Hi Beth,
Thanks for your email. I have never heard of
LonelyGirl but I just checked it out. What is it
exactly?

I generally choose character names based on the
characters' personalities, and on names I like. The
title was chosen by my editor and I because it refers
to a significant moment in the book. Coming up with
titles is one of the most painful parts of the writing
process for me, because I'm always worried I'll settle
on one and it won't be the RIGHT one.

I noticed some traffic on my website was referred by
lonelygirl.com. Is there a link there or something?

Sincerely,

Caroline Hickey
for some reason I just don't believe it...I dunno. Maybe the order is a bit farther reaching than we think. This is really increasing the realism of this whole thing. atleast for me. I just can't see this being nothing more than a coincedence. There is just too much...Between cassie, and cassie was here, and the swing (which makes me think of the park), bree, the tree outside her window, cassie being two years older, bree's imaginary friends (p. monkey, owen and thor, much?) its all way too similar to be nothing more. I guess I will write her back and talk some more.

You should send her links to the episodes where Bree specifically mentions Cassie.

I highly doubt she stole character names and stories. She seems nice.

That is Creepy McCreepinstein.

Wouldn't it be horrible if The Order really DID exist?

So okay...I'm not getting any sleep tonight. How about y'all :smt119 ?

She says she picks names based on personality and what she likes. What does Cassie or Casandra mean?
