It could explain why Jonas' cousin (Toby?) seemed to act a little strange when telling Daniel that he had not seen Jonas since the funeral.
If Alex was Order, and knew his parents were alive, it is enitirely plausible that other cousins, also order, knew his parents were alive and therefore didn't really know how to act around Jonas, resulting in the awkwardness.
They could have also assumed that any of Jonas' friends were not in the order, could have known about his relationship with Bree, or otherwise known more about the situation at the party.

In hindsight, at least the Toby-character's awkwardness showed some grace in terms of the injustice done to Jonas. This contrasts very much with the behavior of the betrayer-with-a-kiss Alex. You made a really good point.claflina wrote:It could explain why Jonas' cousin (Toby?) seemed to act a little strange when telling Daniel that he had not seen Jonas since the funeral.

Ok, if there is anything to contradict this theory, please let me know (lol, I know you will).
Could it be that Jonas's natural parents were exchanged for Bree's natural parents for some reason? Perhaps the Order had an inkling that Bree's natural parents might rebel (if Orderites), and that they were sure that Jonas's natural parents would remain true to the Order?

I can't think of anything that would make it impossible, but it's starting to look like it would be unnecessary, given the Order's ability and propensity for reprogramming folks. It only took a few days to turn DB into a puppet, Alex seems to have been switched over sometime around her 26th birthday, and Jonas's parents are now revealed to be happy little Orderbots too. It would be simpler to just leave the children with their respective parents and customize the parents to suit.longlostposter wrote:Ok, if there is anything to contradict this theory, please let me know (lol, I know you will).

Whatever happened to that girl Julie?
My impression was that Alex joined the Order willingly, possibly for money and/or power.luzdzus wrote:I can't think of anything that would make it impossible, but it's starting to look like it would be unnecessary, given the Order's ability and propensity for reprogramming folks. Well according to Bree her "Dad" told her when they met secretly (and before he was shot) that neither he, nor Bree's mother, were her natural parents. The Order placed them in that position.luzdzus wrote:I can't think of anything that would make it impossible, but it's starting to look like it would be unnecessary, given the Order's ability and propensity for reprogramming folks. Okay, granted I'm not real into the whole....Bree and Jonas parents being the same or switching parents or...whatever! U get the idea. But, HOW could that even happen cuz didn't Jonas's parents "disappear" around 6 1/2 years ago and if Bree's 17...She would have been 11 when Jonas's parents went away and there would to have been some switch or something there...But an 11 year old would most def remember her parents. So, I don't think this is possible. Unless, Bree's REAL parents happen to be Jonas's parents aswell. That is possible...and they gave Bree the fake parents from day 1. Ahh, I'm oh so very confused.

Well, this is just a theory, not something I'm thinking seriously about; but yep the switch would have been made when Bree was an infant. Thus, when Jonas's parents "disappeared", it would actually have been Bree's natural parents (although not "lost at sea", just gone). This would mean that the parents that Jonas knew (and Alex said are still alive), would be Bree's parents. Taking that a step further, since we know Bree's mom holds a high position in the Order, perhaps her "adoptive dad" is still alive, and that is what Alex is referring to when she tells Jonas his parents are still alive, and they've been busy.exanimatebylove wrote: But, HOW could that even happen cuz didn't Jonas's parents "disappear" around 6 1/2 years ago and if Bree's 17...She would have been 11 when Jonas's parents went away and there would to have been some switch or something there...But an 11 year old would most def remember her parents. Following?
Also, that could account for Jonas's constant inquiry and surprise at seeing Bree's "dad" in "The Unthinkable Happened". Perhaps Jonas had a quick flashback to his dad when he was a toddler.
This theory would make Jonas's birth parents alive (if Bree's "adoptive dad" was not actually killed). This then begs the question, what happened to Bree's natural parents? Since the "lost at sea" was all a sham, that wouldn't be the fate of her parents. So, then, where are Bree's natural parents?
I have a headache thinking about this. lol

Well maybe thats why Jonas was acting all weird in the video, like when he was like "who is that guy" and DB told him that's Bree's dad and he was like "are you sure" like he didnt believe him.
And then again maybe thats why he froze when the gun went off and killed his dad.
