Great video, though.

This really reminds me of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley with all of this cloning shiznit.

Anyone else besides me read that book?? I had to in college...it's a weird book, but some of the broader themes in the book parallel some of the stuff with the Order and the Hymn of One...:?

Science confuses the hell outta me, but I'll be watchin' what you guys come up with in that department...

Aha, figured out the quoting thing, we'll see how it works.

Basically what this is doing is slicing up the RNA, and blocking it from reattaching (I'm assuming the ribozyme would also have a way to re-attach.)

The PO4 (+ - shaped thing in the middle) is what connects one nucleotide to the next (the parts that form the frame of the single helical chain of RNA). By moving the PO4 off of one ribose and attaching it to the only other possible spot for another phosphate (PO4) could attach, it ends the chain.
keep in mind this is just one page that DB showed us of a book full of 'that stuff'. I don't put a lot of wieght on this one random page he opened up to as a case breaker. I think it just emphasises the scientific approach Bree's Dad wanted her to take in dealing with the order.

M'hmmm, I read it earlier in the Fall. You're right -- The book opened with the factory where they made the children in the bottles, limiting their oxygen, giving some certain vitamins and others not, etc. It is sort of similar in how they have sort of "made" Bree and how her father was actually trying to combat the Order wanting her rather than helping them as we all felt.

I feel bad for all those "new girls" who have been appearing in their vids with bandages talking about injections, lol, they really tricked all of us.

Exciting vid. It was longer, which is nice. I love longer vids -- especially ones with real info!

Here's the image she found:

Looks a hell of a lot like that screenshot we have! It's called Hairpin Ribozyme Transesterification.

Just thought I'd put that out there.
We did a little more digging, and found this link near the other one:
http://employees.csbsju.edu/hjakubowski ... ozymes.htm

http://employees.csbsju.edu/hjakubowski ... NRIBO2.gif

It has both the "HAIRPIN RIBOZYME" image and quite possibly the more blurry image seen earlier in the video, also involving "HAIRPIN RIBOZYME" ... it also includes text mentioning something about "subtitution for Nucleophilic 2'-OH" which appears in the notebook.

See screen caps from the video on the LG15 Today blogspot under the video itself http://lg15today.blogspot.com/

Agreed. I just wanted to share what knowledge I could.

I really think we should be working on figuring out what Bree's trying to say in her collage.

I was able to pause it at a slightly better angle.

The bottom text starts out with

"DAY 2:
RIBOZYMES
RED BLOOD CELL COUNT
IRON SUPPLEMENTS"

the stuff in the top section is still fuzzy.

below the fingers it looks like:
...."DESIGN STUDY OF EPOGEN: -- WHY?
-- EFFECTS?
-- TRAIT REVERSAL?
-- " and the last one looks illegible.
it could be "SERINE?" or it could be "SERUM?"

at the top of the page, the last of the top line almost looks like WIZARDS OF VISION but that would make no sense. The last word could be VITAMIN as well, which would make sense (but not wizards.. it's after midnight and I need to get up at 6am tomorrow).

EDIT: because I figured out how to quote pictures. :)
EDIT: because I figured out how to host my picture :)

I think you're right because I definetly see all those words in there.

and just from those words like "effects" and "trait reversal" maybe that's just the page where he (bree's dad) documented where whatever he would inject Bree with to get her trait negative
?????????????????????????????????

I do find the collage significant too! Jonas and Dainel helps raise my suspicions by making especial reference to it - highlighting that it does not seem to fit the purpose of the hidden box.

In fact if you think about it, what if the box was found by someone else? The odds were pretty good that the box would most certainly been found by someone in the Order being the box was hidden on at the Order's property where they had their camp. If they found the picture collage in there, it leaves no room for doubt on the significance of the information in there and who put it there. It was more risky to put it in than to leave it out. I mean I am assuming everyone knows who the ceremony girl is! I mean she is doing infomercials for the HoO and all now!!

So yes, the collage is significant, but the father put it in the information box for the adopted daughter. Why? I would like to peel back the one picture in the middle that is not from the same series of pictures. He may of added it knowing she would recognize that she did not put it there.

And what finger is she holding up? Does not look like a pointer finger. That I wonder about too...

In case anyone doesn't know, but wants to know about this book, here's a link to the Sparks Notes for it.

And I think this quote in the Plot Overview is interesting...

On the Reservation, Lenina and Bernard are shocked to see its aged and ill residents; no one in the World State has visible signs of aging.

Another connection:

Aldous Huxley knew Aleister Crowley. According to Wikipedia, in 1930 the two dined together in Berlin. It doesn't go into much more detail (I shall research it later), but it's a connection, none the less...
