Baboon - The dog-headed baboon was one of the manifestations of both Thoth, god of writing, and Khonsu, the youthful moon god. Both deities were related to the moon. Hapy, the son of Horus who guarded the canopic jars that held the lungs, had the head of a baboon. There was also a baboon god in the Early Dynastic period named Hedjwer, 'The Great White One', who became closely linked with Thoth. Sometimes Thoth was shown in baboon form, perched on top of the scales of judgement in the underworld.
Wasn't that tarot deck Crowley made called the Thoth deck?
You may be onto something, spaciegirl. I should look that up.

Edit: and Luv2Skydive, too. Good research.

Daniel not wanting to swim just screams "cat" to me so I looked up cats and Egypt a little more.

The protector associated with cats was called Bast, who was the mother of Ma'ahes which means literally, "He who is true beside her".

"He who is true beside her" would apply in this situation, I think. I wonder if the creators thought of this or if this is pure coincidence? But Daniel is "standing true" beside Bree in my opinion.

I find the stuffed animals somewhat annoying too, Spacie, and that other guy (sorry i forgot your name). It is particularly irritating to have to fast forward through 30 seconds worth of P. Monkey dancing. We get a 2-minute video and half of it is Bree putting her ear to a stuffed toy's mouth and translating what it says. Boringg. I also agree with the *vomit* thing when fans are overly obsessed with the toys. I would be just as satisfied, if not more, if they had less camera time. They aren't even cute.

I'll probably get made fun of for this, but I have stuffed animals. Yes, I'm 17 years old. All of them have names, and I play with them from time to time, and introduced them to my boyfriend on our second date. But at least mine are CUTE. jeeze.

The first time I watched LG15 I was amused because I have a teddy bear named Owen.
The end.

I have a 3.5" antique black doll who has hoop earrings and a tiny basket of fruit on her head. She also has a sash that says "Roditi" on it. I assume that is or was a place...but it's also her name now. At least she is interesting and not from Target.

Sorry, but I'm pretty braindead, too, Luv2Skydive... Maybe I'll be able to get some good solid research done later, but right now I have schoolwork and I keep getting distracted.

Oh, and JustAnotherLonelyGirl, I definitely disagree with you, but I don't feel like launching into a tirade and getting into an argumentat the moment.

That reminds me of a little Indian Doll I bought in Lake George. She's that size, and she has hand-made clothes and glass eyes. Her clothes and bandana thingie are faux deer-skin and beaded and she has little matching moccasins. Her name is "Singing Bird" because I thought it would be a cool name for an indian when I was little.

By Indian I mean Native American. Please don't attack me for that.

I think the Creators are trying to cater to everyone and it's just not working......I mean seriously folks, if what is happening to Bree was happening to you would you be picking the perfect song and editing frigging vids and being cutesy with your stuffed animals? I will still watch and I'm still interested but this part annoys me.

Sounds like a great doll. I have a small doll from Mexico, a doll from Russia, and a doll from Belgium (I feel so worldly!) plus my collection of American Girl dolls from when I was eight and nine.

But I don't love them the way Bree loves P. Monkey, Owen, and Thor! There's something SPECIAL about them, and I like watching P. Monkey dance!

Good point... well, about whether we like them or not, which I guess isn't an argument since I know I like them and you find them irratating... Sorry! As I said, I'm a little braindead right now.
