LOL i love when daniel grumbles 'dick..'

Seriously though, could he be any less mature? Grow up.
At least it wasn't just a big lame video of Daniel PMSing at us.
The ending has to have a clue. I would state my theories, but I have to read the last 10 pages first so no one eats me for redundancy.

Yay for Nancy Drew and Veronica Mars!

VM should do a LG15 Episode. It would totally be something Rob would be into.

LISTEN TO ME CREATORS. Go hook up with Rob Thomas. Though be careful, he might kill off one of your characters just to piss you off.

wrong kind of traceable; just means you can't TRACE the person who the phone belongs to; not that they can't find the signal.

reason why this doesn't seem to be a problem; didn't Jonas say they were heading north? if he's with the Order, then he could have planned to call them every so often so they can track their moves.

Heehee. Creators, if you do team up with Rob, just don't agree to anything to do with buses!

I swear, the funniest part of this entire video, let alone the most important, was when Dan muttered Dick under his breath. Heehee. I clicked back deliberately to listen to it again :D

So it'd be smart for Daniel - wo isn't exactly buddy buddy with Jonas at this point anyway - to take Jonas' phone and see what numbers he's actually been calling.

just noticed that it's not actually a haiku. the last line has 6 syllables.

which i'm sure isn't even remotely important, but still jumps out at me enough to bother me.
A very, very good point. Note also that the "haiku" has been copied down wrong here; the last line is "a subtle clue I Drew"

I think it's very significant that both the last words are capitalized. Of course, "Drew" refers to Nancy Drew. Does anyone remember what "i/I" stands for? Because I seem to recall, although I am not a follower of the ARG, that capital and lower-case i's were important in early Tachyon videos. My theory is that this is indeed a haiku, but the word "Drew" is not part of it, but rather part of the signature.
I haven't finished reading so someone probably already said this.. but maybe Drew is capitolized in reference to Nancy Drew.

kristenjane wrote:"Conventional cellphone records are tied to customer accounts that can be reviewed by law enforcement, while prepaid phones can simply be purchased off a store shelf with no registration requirements.

Law enforcement officials can trace ordinary cellphone numbers and learn critical information about the users, including who they called, who called them, where they called and where they called from. They can also use wiretaps to record cellphone conversations. Often, that information is used to build a case against a suspected criminal, Sills said.

"It's becoming more important than the ability to know what vehicle the individual has," he said. "There's constant communication on those things."

But prepaid cellphones —- which account for about 14 percent of the U.S. market —- can thwart the investigative process, Sills said. The phones appeal to many innocent users —- teenagers, people who lack stable credit, light users of mobile phone services and others looking to control their monthly bills. But would-be wrongdoers have also found them useful because they require no contracts and no registration. Prepaid phones come with a fixed amount of minutes. When the minutes are exhausted, users can either throw the phones away or buy more minutes.

When law enforcement officials find a prepaid cellphone during the investigation of a crime, there is no record of a phone number or an account to trace.

"We have no way of finding out whose phone it is," Sills said."

I knew I read it somewhere
This is partially correct. (Never trust the AJC for completely accurate info)
A prepaid phone can be tracked just like any other cell phone as long as you know who the user is. The reason they are so popular among criminals is because they will use them then dispose of them every couple of days. If you continue to use it like a regular cell phone you can, in fact, be tracked - it uses the same exact system as any other cell phone, only the billing platform is different.

That being said - if Tachyon could find them, so can the Order.
That is what I was thinking. It is all about tracking the location of the phone, not the user. With the 3 dum dums showing everybody and telling everybody where they are going, I am sure the Order can pull up the "grids" or whatever to find a cell phone being used tin the mountains. Plus, if that really is Jonas' parents' house, wouldn't there be like a public record of the property location?
What I'd like to know is why Jonas has a prepaid cellphone. He's only like a millionaire.. you'd think he'd have one of those fancy phone/mp3/pom-pilot/internet/uhhhh..umbrella? type things.

I've been thinking about the connection between Nikkie Bower and Nancy Drew. This was Nikki's Nancy Drew quote:

"Don't discount faint lines or indecipherable blotches on discarded pieces of paper. A magnifying glass might reveal them to be very small words."

So maybe there's a word on the brown paper that was used to wrap the Nancy Drew books. That could be the answer that is before Daniel.

So... anyone have the ability to zoom in on the paper that wrapped the books to see if anything is there?

maybe tachyon knew that daniel was going to the car so she left it for HIM to find
Maybe Jonas had it all along and was keeping it from Daniel and Bree.

Maybe. But the video showed Daniel asleep and Bree seemingly waking up recently. Jonas was wide awake and it's his parents' cabin so he knows his way around it. You'd think that if Jonas was trying to keep something from them he would hide it somewhere in the cabin that they wouldn't ever find instead of in the car. With them so sleepy he'd have had time to transfer it from the car to the house.
