Didn't someone say that Pi=mouth?
If that was proven invalid, correct me by all means.
I liked it though. So far, the watcher symbol seems to represent an eye. Thus, the symbol using a mouth would represent the communicative branch of the Order.
It made perfect sense, but now I'm totally confused.

Yes, Pi does represent an open mouth.

what if some of these symbols had been flipped in some way? like, it looks like pi, but isn't because tachy said so, but it's something that's a pi upside down...

Sorry - I couldn't find this in the LGpedia and I was getting frustrated in the thread - where did Tachyon imply/mention this?

I feel lost.

I can't help but feel like we need something more to go on. I mean, had the watcher symbol not been broken down, it would've seemed like a bit of a stretch to me. And even with it broken down, it's like, "Sky and Sea" but it says nothing of the actual job of the watchers. I think I've posted this before, but it's just frustrating. That being said, maybe the Order just really likes "pi"e. Maybe? I've never been able to resist a pun. Hope you're all having more luck than me. Peace!

That way, maybe Daniel would give us more to go on. Haha.

Uniting Symbol

Hey, I was just thinking. Maybe we need a key symbol; a uniting symbol. Like, any symbol alone might not make much sense without the key symbol, but if one were to take the ligatures in conjunction with a third symbol (perhaps a symbol that has special meaning to the Order), the meaning of the ligature becomes apparent. Say we look at the watcher symbol and see "sky" and "water," but in conjuction with the key symbol, it spells out portions of the name of a God that watches. This is just an example to try to illustrate my meaning.

I'm sort of new to the whole thing, so maybe there's a symbol from a previous puzzle that could now be incorporated for this purpose. Maybe the other "12' is this symbol. Maybe the symbol is embedded within the images themselves, but in a way we haven't thought of yet. I'm just putting this out there. I'm going to try to do some more research. Best!

[edit]: A symbol that might be of use is the something like the star of the A.A. If you overlay any one of the ligature atop of it, the edges point to the different points on the star which are all coded with letter. If we find a symbol like this (or maybe even this symbol?) and find out what the letters refer to, perhaps we'll illuminate the meaning of every symbol. Wishful thinking? Oh well.
