I'm normally DD too when I go out, since I wouldn't drink much anyhow, it's easiest for me to restrain myself

But a friend is getting married on my birthday. His reception is going to be a kegger (:shock:)... Much celebrating will occur

And of course Jay says he'll stay sober so I can have a couple of drinks but that never happens. Especially since I'm meeting up with all of them after I get out of work...

And to be honest, I have to be partially intoxicated just to put up with some of their friends

Z is an intelligent, fun gal, and as such you are lucky that she attends your outings, which include questionable company.
If you intend to invite people who can not entertain her with their witty ways, you should elect one of your dull, and (or) obnoxious friends to be DD.
Z is excused for the evening. She will be drinking large quantities of alcohol (on me), dancing, and generally being the life of your party.
