Seriously, though. I watched it again and I think that smile is a matter of interpretation. I see it as a "you're nuts, wth?" smile. I get it a lot from my husband...
if i was trying to act like i didn't know someone, i wouldn't pursue the subject as he does, trying to get her to describe either cassie or the situation... still convinced he doesn't know her...
and while i agree cassie is not necessarily trying to save bree, i think the "doe-eyed girl" refers to cassie herself, not bree... "i'm dead, but not at rest"
