But some of us can't really have much milk.rachelalexis wrote:Tomato soup made with water is just icky.
With milk? Mmm Mmmm Good!
Jesus, how much tomato soup do you make in one go?Kasdeja wrote:But some of us can't really have much milk.rachelalexis wrote:Tomato soup made with water is just icky.

I can't drink milk at all. And I usually pay for it if I eat ice cream. But I can eat as much cheese as I wantKasdeja wrote:But some of us can't really have much milk.rachelalexis wrote:Tomato soup made with water is just icky.

Same with me. I don't even like milk anyway. But if you take one of those Lactaid pills before eating ice cream, no problem. Plus, there's a lactaid milk (not sure if that's what it's called) that tastes like milk (ie not soy or rice milk) but doesn't bother you if you're lactose intollerant.wintermute wrote:I can't drink milk at all. Hey, I got it from my Mom and she's French...so put that in your pipe and smoke it.AutoPilate wrote:Sorry, guys, but... Only in Amrikka... the irony is delicious... as delicious as tomatoes and milk.
Yeah, I think it tastes fine. But then I almost never have a glass of milk. I just use it for cooking or sometimes cereal. And then I get the fat-free milk, which really is just white water anyway.Kasdeja wrote:That lactaid milk tastes alright? I've been afraid to try it. I'm not completely intolerant, but I can't take much. I usually pay for it because of chocolate milk or chocolate ovaltine. I can not resist...and then I'm miserable. I don't like to just drink regular milk, though. For some reason, cheese doesn't bother me a bit. THANK GOD.
Mine started with chocolate milk... I can't stand regular milk anyhow, so that was no real loss. But the ice cream... I just can't resist and wind up paying later. I've been afraid to try that stuff as well. But then again, I never was a milk drinker... As for taking something for it so I can have my ice cream without paying later, I've never been a fan of taking OTC drugs. I guess I'll just hafta keep paying later... Or eat more cheese and less ice creamKasdeja wrote:That lactaid milk tastes alright? I've been afraid to try it. I'm not completely intolerant, but I can't take much. I've always been a fan of OTC drugs... I figure, if there's a way that science can overcome my physical limitations, I'm all for it. Besides, you buy one package of these things and then just take one whenever you need it, which is pretty rare. They're pretty easy on your system too... I never had any ill effects. You take one tiny pill when you start eating ice cream, and no problem! Yay for science!wintermute wrote:As for taking something for it so I can have my ice cream without paying later, I've never been a fan of taking OTC drugs. Agreed with the semi-intolerance. Vanilla soy milk is an excellent alternative!Kasdeja wrote:That lactaid milk tastes alright? I've been afraid to try it.
