106 Bree's Gone [12/26/06]

Well in the message from Bree's dad he said that she would meet him in a week. And from the info, people have been thinking that it that day would be on the 30th

Well excuse for thinking that it would be hard to drive. I, having little driving experience, could never just go out and drive on the roads safely. I would crash into everything!

The reasoning about the date as I understand it is that Bree's Dad's message said they would meet one week from when he got a message from Bree that she got his message. People are thinking the CUSOON message was that message. The Movie Mystery video was posted Saturday 23, so one week from that is Saturday the 30th.

the new theory is that the message was actually meant for daniel/jonas to recieve when they looked back on her messages after she disappeared. remember, her father does not know about her youtube.

Yes I saw that theory mentioned in the thread, it is interresting, and possible.

But in the video she did a long prologue about how she couldn't figure out her Dad's code. so it seems more in context that she was reponding to her Dad.

As for who can see what when, it has become very confusing, curisousGeorge had a thread in Plot Discussion about that question, it went on for 10 pages or so until he finally gave up trying to figure out any logical stucture.

it is my personal belief that her extended rant was her way of leading the Order astray. How successful this was, i'm not sure, but i suppose we'll find out soon enough

The CU SOON Message is for Jonas and Daniel, it gets obvious when Daniel says he´s gonna check some videos form bree.
The Loveline thing, didnt it appeared on some opaphid or tachyon puzzles? (I dont catch on alot of tachyon and opaphid things)

I agree the people who think the Order may have gotten Bree. I hope not, but it just seems to be too much of a stretch for her to take Jonas' credit card ~ I can see her taking his car, but something like a credit card?? And leaving abruptly after Daniel had arrived? Wierd...

She was really depressed, so maybe she did act "out of character", and took off... but Jonas' "pity party" seems like a way to divert our attention. And Daniel does seem pretty calm ~ he's usually mellow, but it seems like he would be more concerned than he seems right now.

I think this is an excellent theory. It's consistent with Bree's disappearing without any sign of breaking and entering or other violence.

Even if she's only gone to meet her dad, though, I don't expect her to show up at Jonas's again. Either she's already been taken, or she'll be taken when she's at the rendezvous point.

I agree with arammat that the "Learning to Drive" vid laid the groundwork for her being able to borrow Jonas's car to meet her dad. We know for sure that Bree has at least had some driving lessons, whereas if we hadn't had that vid, we would undoubtedly have been speculating: "She's been so sheltered and homeschooled, she couldn't possibly know how to drive Jonas's car!" Etc.

I disagree with arammat, though, about the significance of the two different stories about missing money/credit cards. Given how much we study each video, the creators must be trying to make some kind of point here. What seems to make the most sense is that Jonas is trying to concoct a plausible story that will make Bree seem like the bad guy, and will prevent Daniel from being able to go to the cops -- which we know he's wanted to do, and what he probably would have done long ago if Bree hadn't been around to dissuade him.

If, in fact, Jonas is siding with the Order, it could be forced. Perhaps he is being blackmailed? Something along the lines of "Deliver us the girl and you might see your own parents alive again" wouldn't be entirely unreasonable.

It maybe that they already went through the freaking out phase, a couple of hours before they made the video, they are in the resigned and what now phase.
