I guess it all depends whether you want LG15 to stay exactly the way it is and keep on being your little show for ever. Keep in mind interest will continue to wane, the press will lose interest, and as time goes on and no publicity viewers will subside.
What it needs is a good shot in the arm.
They tried that "LG will advertise your product" approach back in early December. They don't seem to have picked up any advertisers though, at least not visibly. Face it, if we believe what they tell us, The Creators are really struggling.
What could be a good degree of publicity along with more attention from others might do it a lot of good. For everyone who is worried about the integrity of the series, this was stated to be a NON-RECURRING CAMEO. Seeing as vids are never more than 3 minutes, and Bree and Daniel have to set up their whole "we're going to the outside world for a visit", McPhee can't have much screen time at all. She might not even be a named character. Her role will be likely be minimal. Then the series will continue on and things will be like they were. Except hopefully with more publicity and more viewers. I can't see what's objectionable about this.

I have to apologize for turning attention to Mr. Hung. This could go to LG15 in the Press perhaps. Not deleted, however.

I 100% agree with your points. You are right, thy do need the publicity. BUT there was no need for saying when the video was going to be posted and what was going to happen in the video. Ok...really there was no need to say what was going to happen. They could ahve said posting day...i'll settle for that...but the spoiler was a little much

Nope, lonelygirl15 is the show. It's not an alternate-reality game. OpAphid is the alternate reality game.

It's like Lost and the Lost Experience. Lost, the show, is still the main event. The Lost Experience, for ARGers, is secondary.

Lonelygirl15 is first and foremost an internet series, starring Jessica Lee Rose as Bree.

Secondly, there is an Alternate Reality Game, that a small minority of highly dedicated fans follow.

I'll change the thread so it says "spoiler," and I apologize to people who feel spoiled. Knowing that there was going to be another character on the show and knowing the name of the episode didn't ruin things for me, and I didn't consider that it would for anyone else.

I couldnt agee more. like I said before, such things are necessary to keep the show going, whether we like it or not.

When did they try product placement? I dont remember...
