Maybe. But the video showed Daniel asleep and Bree seemingly waking up recently. Jonas was wide awake and it's his parents' cabin so he knows his way around it. You'd think that if Jonas was trying to keep something from them he would hide it somewhere in the cabin that they wouldn't ever find instead of in the car. With them so sleepy he'd have had time to transfer it from the car to the house.
Point taken. But Jonas may not have expected Daniel to randomly go sit in his car. I was saying that he may have had this from a while ago, like when Tachyon stayed at his house or something, not just from last night. Why would Tachyon just leave the thing sitting in his car? Unless she did it by accident? I don't know. Just theorizing.

It has really good copies of all editions of the classic 56.
I'm almost positive the one that's dark on his left is The Hidden Staircase, but I really can't tell.
Here is an update on the Nancy Drew books in this video.
At 1:31 in the video, the lower half of the cover of this book is clearly shown. This is a certain match and eliminates the other light or yellowish possibilities I posted previously (elimates Nancy Drew Mysteries No. 54, 15, or 22)
—–
No. 52 “The Secret of the Forgotton City”www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0448095 ... ryNetND-20
—–
(This was also correctly identified here on the forums in a previous post ... up a few from this one on this thread)
So, the current list is
Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, Numbers 7, 19, 10, 52 and possibly (2 or 46).

Exactly my point, justanotherlonelygirl. Tachyon wouldn't do this. In fact, in the parrellax (sp) thread, someone said that one of the Nancy Drew clues that Tachyon put a dot by was saying to never leave your car doors unlocked, you never know what someone could leave in it.
Suspicious indeed.

My theory:
A watcher put the package in Jonas' car because something in those Nancy Drew books is going to trigger Daniel.

by aideen
Because the watcher is good and wants to help, or because the watcher is bad and wants to do something evil I don't know about?

Evil. Daniel could have been programmed or hypnotized by the Order (read threads about spin programming, etc, in plot discussion). In the research we did, there are certain "trigger" words or images that bring the person whose been programmed under the power of the programmer.
I'm guessing that something in those books is Daniel's trigger.
EDIT: These trigger words are decided by the programmer.

Oh, I thought you meant trigger as in the word that will actually SNAP Daniel out of the programmedness, or hypnosis. As in he was already doing what they programmed him to, and the trigger word would stop him from doing it.
Like, as if Tachyon knew the word resided somewhere within a Nancy Drew book and put it in Jonas' car while he was sleeping and the others were 'scouting the perimeter'
Which I suppose in it's own way is plausible, yeah?
Edited to fix the fact that it's Jonas' car, NOT Daniels

longlostposter- Possibly But how did they know Daniel would be the one to find it? And even if B or J found it Bree would probably be the one to read to books...
Re: Jonas- I don't think he's bad. Either that, or I just really don't want him to be, I know he's been suspicous lately, but it'd just be a bit too much for him to turn out being on Op's side. The Gemma thing just makes it too overdone. Maybe a double agent? Op thinks he's on their side, but he's not. Also, I have a feeling he's closer to Bree than, (Oh gee, I saw your videos, you should some stay with me and we'll all be friends) Daniel turning on her, on the other hand would be a bit of a twist, a little predictable (but with this many theorys flying around, what isn't predictable?) but, most importantly not overdone.

Would it matter who found the books? They would all read them more than likely, as three heads are better than one.
Maybe it's predictable for Daniel to have been programmed by the Order, but it almost certainly was done. In the "Miss Me" video he acts like a street gangsta, and when they got him back he said he didn't remember any of it. He also said they did "spin art" in the "Miss Me" video. This could be either hypnotism or spin programming. Also, when he was rescued, he was obviously drugged. Add to this that it's highly unlikely that the Order would let him go without messing with his mind, and there you have it.

Gidget posted this screen capture.

I think the dark book on the left may be No. 35 "The Haunted Showboat" (based on the artwork).
Call me crazy, but I just cannot give up on the last book.
I previously posted that it was possibly Nancy Drew Mystery
No. 2 "The Hidden Staircase" or No. 46 "The Invisible Intruder."
I'm still not sure, but after looking and looking at the covers
linked here, I'm going to change my pick for this book (still
somewhat tentatively) to:
No. 35 "The Haunted Showboat"
www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0448095 ... ryNetND-20
I am basing this pick mainly on the artwork of the cover, and
assuming that the typeface for the title became much larger in
the version of the edition shown on Amazon.
So, my current list is:
Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, No. 7, 19, 10, 52 and possibly 35.

Plausible, but highly unlikely. This would mean that Tachyon programmed Daniel to snap out of his programming. Also, Daniel hasn't been acting like he's under the Order's control.

And Missmadness, I'm not the one that said that Jonas had it and didn't show it to anyone. Please go back and read.
Jonas is with the Order, or is the dumbest man on Earth...he suddenly has people to call? On his cell phone? Gimme a break.

That's a pretty cool theory, llp.. and I agree this seems uncharacteristic of Tachyon. I was thinking that Jonas was either hiding (very badly) the package, or he left it in his car with the intention of bringing it to someone.....

No, that part wasn't directed towards you, I was just saying in general
