Actually, I'm involved in the writing and production of a television show and I can tell you that their pacing is still slow. The Creators are working with a limited budget and a smaller pool of resources,... but the episodes are usually only 2-5 minutes in length. It takes about a week to produce and film a 48 minute episode of network television (with some extra time for post production editing and sound work...special effects). These videos have very little post production work, with the exception of editing the film together. And, the fact that their crew is small actually helps them. They're not coordinating 30-100 people. So, while I appreciate what they're doing... your comparrison isn't exactly warranted.Morgan wrote:Wow, I think they ALL acted very well in this vid. Jonas was about to cry. ;-; Daniel's yell was VERY realistic. Bree, well, she looked like a zombie.
I'm getting pretty sick of people complaining about how "long" it takes for the next video. Have you ever watched a really good TV show that made new episodes every 3 or 4 days?? NO. Stop complaining.
The actors DID a fine job (as always).
I completely agree, but I'm not sure if I'd agree on the series ending. Most of the story has been bent on running that the series has just turned into a survival (not the TV show mind you) show. There's been a lot of unanswered questions that I think a lot of has kept since the series first started to get intense with them going on the run and all.house wrote:They DEFINITELY fixed the voice. *thumbs up* It's still a bit,...ermm, off, but it's MUCH better than it was the first time around. Now it's got more of a British lilt and is more ethereal.
I still don't like the video, though. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's just more of the same and, after almost a year of this, it's time for the plot holes to start getting some much needed, highly neglected closure. I mean, we're -what?- ten months in and we still don't even know what the hell the ceremony is for. It's going to turn out to be a big let down if she's only going to stand on a hill and mutter some Enochian, throw salt over her left shoulder, and skip off into the forest. I think the Creators have got so caught up in the running and chasing that they've neglected the story. Too many untied loose ends. It's great for building up intrigue, but my intrigue interest is topped out... must. have. answers.
I almost feel like they're still holding out for the possibility that this could go on for years, or something, and honestly--- I really am at a point where I think it should end. I would hate to see LG15 go out on a mediocre note.
Anyway, the only part of this video that really made me get excited was Bree's little "look". That lilttle "I'm going to kill you in your sleep." look...like she finally realized that she has power: the power to f*** someone up. She got in touch with her inner-Tachy with that look. It reminded me of Alex, actually. Girl power, rawr!!
I think we need to get those questions answered, and have this plotline become more developed. Then maybe it'll get more interesting than what it is right now.

And whoever did the sound on this video deserves to be fired. Even a deaf person would've heard the sound is totally overmodulated. Video editing software has level displays for a reason. If they constantly turn red, that's a bad thing. How can they be eligible for product placement and produce vids with Carmen Electra while not even managing to control their output levels? It's a voiceover, goddamnit. It can be re-done without re-shoots. Within four minutes. There is no logical explanation for this except for sheer lazyness.
why don't you go make the damn videos then? except no one would watch them.

About the voice...
There are a few ways of mentally breaking someone down. The first is painful. Keep them awake and in bad conditions untill their will breaks down. Alot of people seem to be seeing this, then wondering what's up with the voice...
The second is to break down the person's sense of reality. This one is far more... devistating. It's considered a forbidden experiment to deprive someone of their senses because the people that they did this to decades ago went insane, and giving them their senses back didn't fix them.
When a person's sense of reality is distorted, their sense of 'rules' (Don't do what the order wants them to) breaks down also(Ever seen the way people are during Big Brother or Survivor?). The voice is surreal, especially if the person the characters are staring at doesn't appear to have an apparatus to do the voice. Sleep deprivation, light discrepancies, altered voice, a chair that barely fits Bree... possibly the only thing familiar is that camera they see staring at them.
A few people have commented on the red lips they all have. This, and red eyes like Bree has in the final shot, are sumptoms of dehydration. They may be starving them. This creates pains at first, but those subside after x days. The lack of nutrition, however, can cause everything the captor is doing to become amplified.

I agree that the bathroom scene is probably after the interview thingies. I also noticed the red lips and eyes. I thought they looked cold, actually. And really tired. And DEFINITELY drugged up.
PS: I'm not seeing any blue eyes.. what are you guys talking about?? lol

Ugh it isn't letting me edit my post for some reason.
But I forgot to mention... a longgggggggg time ago, in like October, there was a section in this forum regarding Bree's feet. People speculated about her feet because they were noticably dirty. She also always wore flip flops, as was noticed. (I haven't been paying attention.. this might have changed since). Eventually the section, along with many others, were all merged into the Plot Discussion section I think. Somewhere far far back, you may be able to find them.
But anyway, the fact that they removed Jonas's shoes reminded me of that.
