But Casey is in her teens, so leaving a 16 year old at home wouldn't be that out of the question.
One of my mom's friends homeschooled her son when he was in high school and she would leave him with his homework during the day when she went to work (she wasn't married). When she got home she expected him to have his work done and they would go over the lessons in the afternoon.

and Hyemew confirmed that by saying "good eye",
so my question is - is Daniel from Myspace then "danielbeast"??? AND....the line he writes "somehow we suddenly were off on a tangent. She was yelling, I was confused, suddenly lizards were involved" leads me to believe she does indeed say "order of gecko"....

hyemew writes the danielbeast myspace blog. he writes a tongue-in-cheek "behind the scenes" account, which obviously isn't factual.
All it means is that Hyemew thought she said gecko, or that Hyemew wrote the lizards line in response to all of us going "did she say order of gecko?"

When we first heard 'gecko', before the 'denderah'....I just kept thinking...please don't let this be sponsored by Geico...with the daniel the caveman and all.
Denderah

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a few weeks, and finally decided to dive in.
I watched the "driving" video on youtube before I read this thread, but I did notice the Denderah tag before I hit the play button.
I heard Denderah the first time. To be honest, I can't believe anybody is even disputing it after listening to the slowed down audio provided earlier in the thread.

Uh, do you mean Bree?
But yeah - I don't think it's abnormal for a 16 year old to be left alone in the house... of course - again - she might have gotten caught. We don't see what happens when she gets home.

I don't think it's abnormal for a 16 year old to be left home alone. I think it's odd that BREE was left home alone.

Daniel was banned from the house, and she's homeschooled. She's not chained to the bed behind triple locks with no key. She's not a prisoner. How's this sound?
Bree: Mom, I'm going for a walk (to ride my bike, to run around the block, to do some rollerblading).
Mom: Where to? How long are you going to be gone?
Bree: Nowhere in particular. I shouldn't be gone too long. I just want to get out for a bit.
Mom: Ok, see you shortly. Be careful and have fun.
Bree: Thanks Mom. Bye.
Please remember that we see her for two minutes every two or three days. The character presumably is allowed to go outside. I know that I spent hours and hours everyday outside the direct supervision of either of my parents even when I was younger than fifteen or sixteen.

People are missing my point. I'm NOT talking about 'normal teens'...I'm not talking about other homeschooled kids being chained to desks inside. But has it not always been the perception that Bree doesn't get to get out much? She doesn't have a lot of freedom? That is my point. I, too, was a 15 or 16 year old kid at home alone and free to roam around. That is NOT the issue.

Again, don't forget that her parents have let her out during the daytime before. She went hiking and swimming with Daniel. They most likely don't know she's learning to drive, but they probably let her go somewhere...maybe the library or something. She's old enough to leave the house on her own after all...

And she's also posted videos where she has not been allowed to go to things most kids her age are old enough to attend. Again. Point flying way over. I thought it was a simple one. But, I'll drop it...

Kas, I understand where you're coming from. I agree that she probably doesn't have the freedoms that the "typical" kid her age has, but it's still not unreasonable that she's allowed out of the house without a parent in tow. As others have said, there have even been videos showing her out of the house without the parents but with parental consent.

Alright... I don't really feel like checking the last 12 pages for this...
But in Daniel's blog it says, about the latest video "She was yelling, I was confused, suddenly lizards were involved.. "...
Are we back on to Gecko yet?

But not after she got caught sneaking out with Daniel. Not after that. And if they don't want him in the house, is it not reasonable that they don't want her around him at all? Would she not be grounded for sneaking out? Etc. Like I said, this is why it bothers me. To me, it doesn't add up. Overprotective parents, girl caught sneaking out at night, boy not allowed anymore...
I have never disputed the things people keep bringing up, hence my frustration, here.
