0054 Where's Daniel [10/19/06]
Moderator: Moderators
ok i just watched Gemma's video again and i rescind the idea that she can contribute nothing- i think it sounds like she's fallen out of her religion. she "kinda just wanted to branch off from things"
and she seems more concerned with Bree/Daniel's relationship than with Bree's loyalty to her religion. i think when she moved to London, it wasn't just to get away from whatever "outsider" she let in on things, but also to get away from the community itself
maybe her purpose will be to encourage Bree to turn away from her religion. which could have all kinds of impications for everybody...
or maybe i'm doing that "reading too much into things" thing again.
what do you guys think?
*be gentle *
EDIT: k i'm gonna post this in the right thread now haha sorry

That was my general first impression too...Hannahbee wrote:ok i just watched Gemma's video again and i rescind the idea that she can contribute nothing- i think it sounds like she's fallen out of her religion. she "kinda just wanted to branch off from things"

Nice idea Hannahbee, it would provide a character that not only is against Bree's religion but also has a full idea of what's going on. Also she could know how Daniel would be dealt with. Maybe the reason she turned away (if she did) will become apparent and this will lead Bree to rethink things, maybe question her faith.
Ah forget it...

Haha, maybe the ultimate plot line will be the ultimate destruction of a religion by one teenaged girl! See, since Bree's ceremony, she's now something of an insider in her own religion-- she's been privy to things. And if she turns away now, she will bring about the ruin of what I will tentatively call "The Religion of Bob" since no one is 100% sure what religion it is. (I'm of the opinion it's a made up one, with bits and pieces of other lesser known/occult religions, myself).DavetheAvatar wrote:Nice idea Hannahbee, it would provide a character that not only is against Bree's religion but also has a full idea of what's going on. nut kills man
a girl from Australia that i worked with at a camp years ago taught her girls that. I remember it because it was so bizzare. just so you all know.
no it's the little hangy thing she has in the corner of her room. if you look at any of the vids where u see her room, you can see it. in fact, i believe at one point she mentions putting it up and says she's not sure about it yet. but it's been there ever since so i guess she decided to keep it heheroxybebito wrote:I'm sorry if someone posted this already, I can't read all pages right now. What is that mark on the upper right hand corner?? It looks like a small part of a hand. Is someone filming her?? Why?
Again, I'm so sorrt if this has been posted already by now...

gems
It sounds like she wanted to branch off, yet still has some faith in it. She was relating to Bree.
Re: gems
yeah i can relate to that. i guess that happens in a lot of people's lives, with a lot of religions, huh? esp. at her age.GoodGollyItsHolly wrote:It sounds like she wanted to branch off, yet still has some faith in it. She was relating to Bree.
OK this is probably in the wrong thread but i don't care. Gemma is DEFINATELY not from Austrailia. I know this because i am . That is not an Australian accent and it doesn't sound very NewZealand-ish to me either. It sounds British to me, mabey a tiny bit South African? Also at uni here a one is the worst mark you can get, a seven is the best, so i don't think you would be telling people if you were doing that terribly.
I think it is highly likely that this is a real spinoff, the creators would have known that if they posted it as a reply we would be sure to find it. Also it makes sense that she is older... i presume that they commune or whatever they lived in together was pretty small... so two girls only a couple of years apart probably would have been relitively close in the age departement.
ok cool.

She says she goes to Uni in London and she said "a first" not "one" anyway. Also, you're right, that accent has been bothering me all night and I do believe it's South African (trust me, not British).madeliza wrote:OK this is probably in the wrong thread but i don't care. A comment on the tapping of the video camera.
She says "why couldn't you have listened to me?" right before she does it and her face has a confused look. When I saw it, I got the impression that she was trying to get the "duhh.." reaction accross. Like you might tap someone's head if they're being completely oblivious.
As for Gemma. The cassie as girl #2 theory makes a lot of sense... that the character had to be dropped and replaced.
The video title... Nut Kills Man. Before watching the video I was simply expecting more fanfic. Nut Kills Man reads like a headline. With all of the speculation about Daniel being killed off, I expected this to be a humourous take on that.
Nut being the religious fanatic.. and the man being daniel, of course.
I don't so much think this now though. I would be willint to bet that this is part of the lg saga if i have no other evidence but the girl is on Revver AND youtube.
Gemma also says that her parents are still in the... hesitation... community. This made me think that the "community" was referring to something more than just where she would have known Bree , and probably something to do with the religious community. I wasn't under the impression that her entire family moved from new zealand to england... just her.
anyway. after reading 14 pages of postings.. i am going to sleep.

yeah but she is saying it like bree would know what it ment... the uni thing i mean...so unless bree lived with her in england...but she says that she moved there, away from the commune... so her and bree couldn't have lived together (well in the same commune) in australia. did that make sence? i dunno.DavetheAvatar wrote:She says she goes to Uni in London and she said "a first" not "one" anyway.
