I don't think that's anyone at the door. Sometimes Hotel doors leave that eerie shadow.
And I think we're overanalyzing the yogurt.

You know, I remember way back when the Lazy Eye vid came out, someone commented that Bree's "metaphor story" about being trained to put a monkey in a cage indicated she'd been indoctrinated from a young age (4, I think it was) to accept restraints, her position under authority, and all that. I was kind of rolling my eyes at this comment back then, but maybe that was a good--or at least plausible--way of explaining her psychological responses now. Even though the Order is after her, and even though she's worried about her parents, she stays relatively close to home--to her "cage"--and acts kind of accepting of the whole situation.
I'm just trying to get a grip on *why* she's able to put on that bloody explorer hat and flit around the motel room when her parents could easily be dead in a ditch!

Could somebody please hide money in *my* toys?

I think as things get hairier it's going to be less about "entertaining the masses" and more about communicating with Gemma. Which is why Gemma was introduced; to give them a reason to post vlogs, even when "normal" people wouldn't be posting them. KWIM?That does seem to be the little glitch in this form of show. You really have to suspend the belief that posting blogs is so important, that they'd stop in the middle of a serious situation to entertain the masses with their videos.
Really, who would actually do that in RL?
Missing Oppy....Missing Bree.....

Also, anyone notice how we (okay, I) specifically asked Gemma to ask Bree why she's not worried about her parents, and then Daniel popped up, saying "We're BOTH worried about her parents." LOL
I think it was the Creators saying, "Yeah, they all read the forums, wiseguy." :lol

you think that is annoying...twinklyci wrote:Maybe Daniel just grabbed any yogurt from the shelf without paying much attention? Or maybe because Bree is thin he assumed that she likes lite yogurt?
Being thin, I can tell you how annoying it is to go to a restaurant and ask for a coke and the waiter respond, "Diet?" as if he's thinking oh she's skinny, she must drink diet soda.
It might be the same idea.
try being over weight and having waiters ask you if you want diet pop or the low fat version of the meal...

Very plausible, and ties neatly into the whole mind control discussion. Early indoctrination. It would also explain why she is so slow to respond to the threats that we and Daniel see. She's been conditioned.TheFatLady wrote:You know, I remember way back when the Lazy Eye vid came out, someone commented that Bree's "metaphor story" about being trained to put a monkey in a cage indicated she'd been indoctrinated from a young age (4, I think it was) to accept restraints, her position under authority, and all that. I resent that. lolDontHaveAClue wrote:(wtf am I talking about damn white phlowers to complete stangerz on teh internets???)
I know you guys dropped the subject, but I'm weighing in anyway. They are totally roses. Not a gardenia...too big and not thick enough petals..and too many petals. Not peonies..wrong shaped petals, not enough petals, not as pretty. I also would put money on them not being from the store. I've never seen a grocery store have those type of roses. They're from a bush or from a florist...and since I doubt he dropped by a florist, they're probably from a bush. And, if the creators are as smart as some people think they are with this clue business, the color was intentional.
Talking about flowers on teh internets rules!

What the hell restaurants are you guys going to? That's when you talk to the manager and get someone fired...and free drinks too.twinklyci wrote:Killthesmiley wrote:you think that is annoying...twinklyci wrote:Maybe Daniel just grabbed any yogurt from the shelf without paying much attention? (laughs) I think we were just having a little bit of fun about the yogurt.Kasdeja wrote:I agree about the yogurt...and I know there's a distinct possiblity the the hotel door thing is right...but that wouldn't be very fun.ForeverMourn wrote:I don't think that's anyone at the door. And I think we're overanalyzing the yogurt.
I was only interested and mentioned Bree's breakfast, because it seemed some people were pushing the Bree-is-a-cannibal theory, and I just never saw any hard evidence of that. If anything it seemed a stronger argument could be made for just the opposite. (shrugs)
Yea, we do create our own prisons, don't we?TheFatLady wrote:You know, I remember way back when the Lazy Eye vid came out, someone commented that Bree's "metaphor story" about being trained to put a monkey in a cage indicated she'd been indoctrinated from a young age (4, I think it was) to accept restraints, her position under authority, and all that. I've been there! My family constantly refers to the time three of us fat kids were standing in line to pay for our school supplies at Fred Meyer, and the cashier had to call over the intercom: "Price check on a Mead notebook that says, "Chocolate is my life." Patrons in all the other long checkout lines just stared at us, and suddenly I (who had the wallet) found that my brother and sisters had disappeared quietly.Killthesmiley wrote:you think that is annoying...twinklyci wrote:Maybe Daniel just grabbed any yogurt from the shelf without paying much attention?
