One thing bothers me though. I don't recall exactly the original casting call for the Children of Anchor Cove (maybe someone has a link) but I think they were looking for a girl that was more "average looking" than the first role (being Bree)....Our dear Jackie doesn't really fit the description, does she?

Hmm..All I can remember is that they wanted girl#2 to be more likeable. At this point in the story that Gemma character is.

I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out that an individual is particularly attractive. But I'd have to agree the "I'd hit that!" type of comments are a bit crass. I'd wager there's a female majority on this forum, and I doubt most of them really appreciate hearing the repeated crude objectification of their gender...
I'd like an order of Denderah with a side of Hathor browns, please...

i could well be wrong about her london location - i didn't go back and dig it up. i do know jess has a friend there.

someone noted on the other forum that miles beckett (i.e., one of the creators) is one of this actresses' friends on myspace, but so am i.

maybe i'm just too pessimistic a person, but i'll take bets that this is just fanfic. any takers? loser has to post: "[winner] is best LG15 fan ever! I am not worthy!" here, at anchor cove, and on every lg15 video comment thread on revver.

Yeah her accent sounds fake, but it's not bad.
It's a little late for someone to be posing as Bree's real friend, don't you think...

*In British accent* I cerrrtainly hope she isn't a spin-off by the Creators. I doubt that she is, though the nut-man thing is rather funny (I assume it ain't real lol), other than that she's quite bland, simply talking. The creators would have her doing something more interesting or even a short bit of music or something I'd think..

Plot hole- Bree's only friend was a dog. If the dog belongs to the girl, why were they not friends? Wouldn't you befriend the girl before getting to her dog? Why is this girl not offended that Bree cares more about her dog than her?

HyeMew, whether she is a creation of the Creator or not, it doesn't change the fact that the actress portraying gemmers19 is RL friends with Jessica Rose. I find that very telling.

I don't have time to answer this now because I have to leave. But this comment is... a little ridiculous if I may, all respect due, peace and love, etc..

On another thread someone suggested the accent was South African, and someone else found a comment on her MySpace account asking if she ws coming back to South Africa. For my part, I've known a few people from Tasmania who had similar diction, so it's possible she's from the southwestern Australia, explaining why the Brisbaners don't recognize her as Aussie-sounding.

but doesnt Gemma say her parents still live on the commune? maybe bree knew her then. and it seems like they were really old friends, not too recent. plus, gemma even says "well you may not remember who i am, but you WILL remember my dog" so she could have either known bree from a long time ago at the commune. she is older than bree i think (because shes in college) so bree could have been too young to remember her. but animals stand out to children(and maybe especially one who pays as much attention to her stuffed animals as bree) so im thinking two possibilities:
1. gemma remembers bree from the commune, and the dog thing is a coincidence. maybe bree really likes dogs. or
2. the dog in the pic IS in fact the only friend from nottinghamshire that she hed. because as gemma points out bree probably woulnt remember her, and they were a little bit apart in years so perhaps their parents were friends and bree would play with the dog when her parents visited gemma's.
i know im reaching for answers again, but i think anyones ideas help the flow of others ideas, and thats how were gonna get to the bottom of this

Also telling is the fact that Miles is one of her myspace friends.

I posted this somewhere else, but as this seems like the more appropriate place to put it, I'm moving it here:
OK, this whole thing about the nut man squirrel is killing me for some reason. Is this actually a real game? I tried googling it, and couldn't find any referrences to it, though "rock paper scissors" came up with over 3 million hits.

Something else that really bugs me about this is the fact that it's based on man having peanut allergies. Though, yes, people have had allergies to nuts for years, the widespread problem has really only become a huge issue in the last decade or so. Is that really long enough to have had a game made up about it?

Gemma made this sound like it was the Australian version of rock paper scissors, but could it have just been something the kids made up in the commune?

Could it, as someone stated before, be some kind of nudge to Nuit? Referring to the cult members as nuts?

Perhaps it's some sort of secret code thing that is meant just for Bree that we will understand later?

I guess I shouldn't be so worked up about squirrel nuts.

Tried googling "play nut squirrel man" and came up with such great articles as:

squirrel nut zippers
nut boppin' whoppers
Squirrel Attack: Operation Get Mr. Jones' Nuts

But so far nothing on a game like rock, paper, scissors.
