Do I qualify for a shout out or do you still "hate this guy"?

My response to this video was "LAAAAAAAAME".
I hope that this is only speculation on their part... seeing as they have no real proof that he's dead. And, the screencaps of Mr. Bree standing alone after the supposed gunshot (and then walking towards the order thug and lucy) should prove otherwise.

Thank you for a completely pointless video. And one that is emo to boot.

pensive shot of daniel
pensive shot of jonas
bree off in the distance
waves crashing

With all of the awesome theories that everyone had, this seems like a swift kick to the groin.
What was called the "best video of the series" was followed up with artsy nothingess.
I'm pretty dissapointed.
Hear hear. My response was, "Dude, seriously? I mean...really?" I kept waiting for Bree to trip and fall into the waves, or come running out of them Baywatch style.

If I made a shout out vid, you would definitely be in it!

I guess you would have to be since you never put up the gang bang avatar starring yours truly!

I feel the same. The death accomplishes a few things, storywise: it gives the Order real weight as a villain, it validates Bree's extreme ways in running from them, it helps us forget the embarrassing ceremony, etc. It also gives new ooomph to the Order's quest to recapture Bree, because who knows what new secrets her dad may have told her?
robtomorrow wrote:The general rule is that another character can see another characters videos when it is convenient to the plot, and cannot when it is inconvenient to the plot. Following that rule the Order can not see this video.
Ah.
robtomorrow wrote:Some new questions,

Wasn't Bree's Dad taken by Lucy and the Deacons weeks ago? I thought that is why their house was empty.

Did he somehow escape? And they just now caught up to him?

They had him surrounded in the parking garage why did they have to shoot him? Was it an execution style killing? If so why?

I thought it was Bree they wanted so badly. Why did they only seem interested in detaining and then killing her dad? And why did they let her get away so easily?

And the continuing mystery as to why they want Bree so badly in the first place. The spoiled ceremony reason has seemed dubious for a while and now that someone is dead, that reason has to be much more important..
RobT, these are really good questions. My theory is:

The Order let Bree's dad "escape," but kept him under surveillance, in hopes that he would lead them to Bree. Which he did.

The Order bungled the capture because Daniel and Jonas were there unexpected.

The Order killed Bree's Dad because (1) they had lost control of the situation, and wanted to preclude the possibility of him escaping also with Jonas/Daniel. Also, (2) he may have put up a fight and threatened to get the gun (or draw his own). Or (3) they had always planned on killing him, but couldn't earlier because Bree was with him. The Order does not want Bree harmed, for some reason; that's been evident for a while.

The best theory I've heard about why the Order wants Bree (and wants her alive) is... because she's the incubator for some sort of biological gee-whiz thing. That's why Bree's Dad was injecting her with something. Wasn't there a '60s TV show where the guy was on the run because his blood contained the immortality gene or something?

Edit: that TV show was called "The Immortal"...

We are talking about the Breeniverse not the rational one we actually live in, the Breeniverse is more of a Quantum Mechanical world, remember Bree is a great admirer of Richard Feynman, one of the founders of Quantum Mechanics.

Bree's dad might be like Schrödinger's Cat both dead and alive.

According to quantum theory, after an hour the cat is in a quantum superposition of coexisting alive and dead states. Yet when we look in the box we only see one of the states, not a mixture of them.

I'm still leaning towards my theory that the order is only remotely religious and has more to do with pharmaceutical research, development, and testing. I think the religous overtones are just a sham and a way to remain "below the radar".

It's definitely time for some new vids. This afternoon, I was on I-5 and saw a grey SUV pulled onto the shoulder of the road, near an offramp, changing a tire. There was a guy who looked like Jonas, AND two other people in the car. My husband was totally baffled when I said, "Oh my gosh! Slow down, slow down!!! I have to see if it's Bree and Daniel." LOL It wasn't. Yep... I need another hobby.
