The way I see it, "Bree" edits the gaps in her videos and that's why it's a bit like a movie in theatres (cutting from different angles). When I look at the shade from the trees when she says "you locked me out", it's different from when they switch seats. I'm assuming that she got into the car somewhere near her house, and he drove her to another location, where he gave her a driving prep talk, and then they switched. Or something along those lines.

As for why they would include this locked door, I'm guessing it was just to convey normalcy, as you say. Or perhaps the locked door was not meant to be included, and the door just so happened to be locked, so the actors ad-libbed. Or, perhaps her hands were full, with the camera and maybe a purse, and she could open the handle but not reach in for the lock. Or maybe the unlocky gizmo (yeah, I have no knowledge about automobiles) is far down on the inside of the door... and she can't reach it. Either way, I don't think it should be read into too deeply.

Yeah, I'm not sure what it would mean, but the "doors are locked" thing really seemed to stand out to me too. I assumed that I was just trying too hard to see a clue, but its good to see other people noticed it too.

Also I don't think the virginity thing will come into play, but I wouldn't be shocked if it did. Lots of tv shows aimed at a younger crowd have sex/virginity issues come up all the time, anybody remember "Dawson's Creek", and has anyone seen that show "Degrassi-the next generation"?
I seriously doubt they'll go into that here though. Though previously I did wonder why in the casting call the wanted actors/actresses that were 18 or older and only looked like they were 15, but I think thats because of liability or something.

I still think the locked out section probably means something. If it's supposed to be a joke, they need new writers. Seriously, who laughs at unremarkable and common stuff like that, which happens to people all the time?
Well hold on now, let's think about this.

Yes, we all know that it's scripted, fake, blah blah blah, whatever. But it is still a video blog. It's not supposed to be a movie or a TV show where everything is perfectly timed and thought out. I think they stuck the whole "locked out" thing in there, not to be funny or to hint at some profound meaning, but to make it look like normal, everyday life.

Does that make sense?

Yeah, I don't think absolutely every microsecond of the vids is supposed to contain Important Clues. Remember that the premise here is that these are vlogs of some nice, innocent teen who, it turns out, is getting mixed up in some weird stuff. The vlog is not about the weird stuff, per se. It's just the medium through which we discover the weird stuff.

So, I'd expect there to be lots of nice, innocent teen stuff, with occasional weird stuff thrown in seemingly accidentally.

The Masons aren't considered a religion though... just a fraternity... so why would she call it her religion?

I WAS A JOB'S DAUGHTER

BREE IS NOT PART OF JOB'S DAUGHTERS

Yeah it was kind of a secret group - only open to public when they installed a new "honored queen."

BUT the weirdest thing we did was wear white choir-like robes, that had to be tied a certain way and sing 'onward marching soldiers' as we marched around the temple and ended up kneeling in the formation of a cross while singing 'nearer to my god to thee' at the end of each meeting.

Really quite beautiful actually.

Lots of singing hymns, reciting from the book of Job. But nothing bad or EVIL in anyway. Basically it is a group of girls age 10 - 20 who do things for the community and each other. Like Girl Scouts with religion. It was good for me because it taught me how to talk in front of a group of people and we had to memorize a lot.

Anyways I have seen it brought up a couple of times now and I just wanted to educate y'all on it.

THERE IS NO WAY THAT IS WHAT SHE IS PRACTICING SO PLEASE DON'T GO DOWN THAT ROAD!!

I am an actress, and it is from my experience that they usually hire older people than what they are casting for. In film and tv I usually have played 12 or 13 year olds even though I am 16. It may partly be for liability in this case, but I think it is mostly because of life experience. Being older, you can better understand and deconstruct the emotions and actions of, say, a 12 year old, and in the end it comes out as a stronger performance. And yes, I do know several of the actors from Degrassi: TNG, (I live in Toronto and I was in some of their acting classes) and most of them are already out of high school.

Okay, so a little off the topic of the last few posts, but still in line of the latest video....does anyone else find it odd that Daniel hasn't mentioned ANYTHING about the kiss?
So this goes back to the whole "lies" issue - did it really truly happen? Based on Bree's one video folowing the kiss, Im inclined to think it did :) But then again I'm just a romantic, lol....I will say I'm a little disappointed that he hasnt' mentioned it at all....

Anyone?

My first kiss was kinda the same situation as hers (without the undertones of obscure religions or homeschooling!) with a friend I'd known for a while just springing it on me. And no, he didn't use the yawn technique, I would have seen that coming!
For a while we didn't discuss it at all, because it was awkward that the friendship could be changing and we gave each other time to figure it out. Just thinking about it makes me feel old...

So, I would say it was probably that. He's probably giving her space to figure out what's going on with how she feels (since he would "watch" the videos) and knows it'll come out when it needs to.
