0232 - "Deep Throat" [7/14/07]

Wow. I truly admire all of you guys who are working on the audio and video to figure this out, and those of you who can speak with such confidence about who you think it is. Props to y'all. I can't do that. I have almost no idea at all who Deep Throat is.

I honestly don't think we can be 100% certain who it is until we get some Canon confirmation. I don't think we have enough information, and the information we do have is being interpreted a bazillion different way.

I have no idea about the appearances and voices, so I'll speak simply to the behavior of the character. I think Alex is ambiguous enough to give information to TAAG behind the Order's back, protecting her identity. Nikki B would be awesome, is smart enough to get this information, and although it may be uncharacteristically serious for her, I don't think it's that unbelievable given the situation. As for Beth, we don't know that much about her, so we can't rule her out either way, I think.

Like I said, I have no idea so I can only speculate: My theory is that it's Alex. My hope is that it's Nikki B. Yes, it seems increasingly unlikely, but I'm Optimistic to the point of Delusion.

blendedchaitea, you are so awesome to go check out the location. (The idea of a drop is so exciting to me.) But I know none of us want you to do something dangerous, so please be sure to take every precaution. And be sure to report back ASAP!

Yes; don't go alone, if at all possible; make sure someone knows where you're going, and when you're expected back; and have an "operator" on the phone with you or on call.

i just watched this vid - 1st thing i thought was a "drop" and come over to here to see what was brewing. was hopeful with 18 pages in this thread that i'd see someone had gone, but i guess not. the way he repeats the location -- that's NO DOUBT meaingful. come on guys!

I am so so so so so so sorry.

I was really excited to go and check out the location - I even had my dad on notice to make sure I wouldn't go down any dark alleyways alone. I had directions printed out and everything.

My mom threw the directions away. By the time I could even think about getting them again, it was 10 PM and most certainly dark out.

Luckily I have a car and plenty of spare time available, so I might go again later in the week (and with proper drop pick-up procedure) but I am SO SO sorry I couldn't go check it out tonight. I was really excited, too.

Compare with this Deep Throat capture, that I lightened and added a grain to give some consistancy...

When I first saw (heard) the video I just immediately thought/knew it was Alex. As I've seen the pictures and listened more, I'm leaning strongly toward Beth.

Well this was my way of dealing with a bout of caffiene induced insomnia... and my feeble attempt to play CSI. Assuming that the nose and eyes are pretty much fixed points, meaning they don't move like a jaw or eyebrows might... I set up these templates. I set them over two head on face shots of both suspect girls and then applied the templates to the Mystery person trying to match the center line of the face, nostril shadows and eyes.

The result,.. not conclusive WAaaaaaaaa!

Alex's eyes are set farther apart for sure. Her eyebrows are closer and has a more classic look.

The only thing this experiment did for me was open the door in my mind that there may be a third possibility....

Ugh, I couldn't search through all 18 pages...is someone checking out this location or not? Because the way he kept repeating that area...it seems like it's a drop. But if someone is going, you really need to be careful and follow standard drop procedures.

Oh, I'm sure you all know that...
