I still have no idea why we are just going to assume it is a drop but I will take your guys' word for it... I'm the noob after all...

I did a little "Special Edition" of the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KurJ9Z2rYA
It features slightly improved audio for Daniel (although YouTube seems to have killed that again -_-), subtitles, and reversed audio end (encoded from the video, not re-recorded). It's not recommended as a first few, as the "feel" of the video is clearly destroyed, but if you've already seen it, and want to hear the reverse audio or something...be my guest.
(Hope it turned out okay, it's the first time I did something like this. Now to delete the gigabytes of temp data...-_-)
/me thinks about how many things he might just have done wrong...

I found that too, but its over 5 1/2 hours from the points on Ops map. They never would have made it there and back in one night.

Ah, goes to show that it does no good to have a South Dakota boy give geography ideas to a site in California.
My bad.

...jsut a though...
could this be a pieced drop.
I've read about these
There are seperate "pieces" to each puzzle in seperate locations. Its harder to have a full gamejack this way. Some ARG back in the day did this...
Just a though...
Maybe the pieces are at each location...
I doubt OpAphid would make it that hard. But then again we have people all over that state that are here...

okay, i know that some of you miss the LG15 chat.
but seriously, this thread is getting bigger than needed and just clogged with junk. i mean the first 13 pages are pretty useless.
i'm not an operator. but seriously if you don't have any REAL SUBSTANTIAL ideas, and aren't repeats of what has been previously said.
can't you take it to PM? witty one liners don't go here.
or maybe you can create your own chat in your head and telepathically talk. whatever it is, just leave it out of this post.
its getting out of hand. and making the solving of this drop the harder.
of course, all are welcome to the IRC, with some minimal hazing required. (just kidding)
notice my usage of "seriously" twice...i'm not kidding.

Ya know, when I woke up this morning and heard there was a new video, I was really super excited, and the first thing I wanted to do was check the forum for all the information I would need to catch up, so that I knew what was going on in the IRC.
Instead, what I found was a crazy 18 page thread with a little bit of information, and a lot of thread jacking and post whoring.
Look, children. This section of the forum isn't a CHAT. It's not Off the Cuff, it's not General Discussion. This is where we come to talk about things pertinent to the game and make progress when there's progress to be made.
I don't want to see a bunch of one word responses, responses with JUST quoted text and a SMILEY, or pictures of freaking sea life. I just want to catch up on the info, know what needs to be done, and work out a way to do it.
I'm not trying to come off as wenchy, even though I know I totally am because I'm pissed, but keep your random crap that's insignificant to the thread off the thread.
kthxbye.

Well, I've only added ideas, methinks...either way, I thought that's why summaries and first post updates were made....now there are two extra posts about as useless as the ones being complained about. Now, three, I guess.

No, it's not chat. Not everyone can get into chat. A lot of us were in here trying to figure things out, thanks.

The people who are providing significant information and doing their best to help out are not the ones I was referring to. I was simply saying, keep the short posts and the pointless posts out of the thread, stop trying to up your post count.
But this? This right here? This is a pretty good example of what I meant. What you just said was completely irrelevant. Thus, it's over. I'm not fighting with anyone in a forum, especially not one I intend to use for INGAME stuff.
Thanks.

You complaining isn't anymore relevant than me clarifying for you that not everyone can take everything to chat. That's not arguing, it's letting you know. Are we done threadjacking, now?

If you are working on it and coming up with new stuff that hasn't been posted twice already, great...keep going!
The problem is that the
people on IRC who where trying to coordinate the drops were unable to get onto this thread because of 18 pages of fluff that could have been condensed into 4 if people only posted relevent info, not a bunch of one liners, and "i agree"...etc.
So, where it stands right now is that we have two people who will likely be going out, once we get more info and/or come up with a game plan. If you can contribute, wonderful! If not, sit back and enjoy the show.

Yeah, I understand. Thanks. How many posts is this, now?
