I disagree - it's not satisfying. After all of the in-character interaction and puzzle solving, working toward the ultimate goal of saving Maddison and helping her fulfill her mission for Mr. Zipp, simply killing her off without any explanation does not make for a nice resolution.
That said, this vid was very poignant and well-done, and could be a great stepping stone to taking the ARG in another direction. The fact that the PM managed to generate so much emotional investment in the character of Maddison is testament to his or her skill - I hope that this is not the last we see of it.
well, sorry this took so long, heh... yes this leaves many questions, which can be answered when/if they go after another girl, just because maddi maybe dead doesnt necessarilly end everything...
AND I totally get those of you who irc'd with them, I didnt, thankfully, or i know I would be more tore up about this whole thing, i wish more this wouldve happened to LG though...

She's dead. Wrapped in plastic.
I haven't posted on anything LG15 related in ages but I have to admit I lurk on the boards like a hawk. It just takes something extreme such as this to get me to crawl out of the shadows.
I've been following Maddison's story since the beginning, reading all of the threads about puzzle solving and the like and I was rather enthralled by it. I was actually happy to feel like I was a part of this after I'd stayed away from OpAphid/Tachyon out of fear because of the whole CiW fiasco. I've just read through this entire thread and am glad to see I am not the only one alone in this, who cried over the loss of Maddy and Adam. I didn't "immerse myself" as Maddy did, but I did feel a connection to her and if she's gone now I must admit I am truly broken hearted. I'm just so fucking sad to see her go. I really hope there's more to this though.
I'm confused, feeling a mix of emotions ranging from sad to angry and confused and pissed about a lot of things but I am holding out hope that this can't be the end. I don't want "No more" to be a sign that it's time to roll the credits. It seems so incomplete.
Be well, guys. I should be studying for a final exam but I can't even concentrate now.

Highly doubt it. I have no idea why everyone is suddenly so sold on this idea.

Agreed. Sure, Warpylol = Glenn. And yes, Maddison reacted to Warpy's vid. But that doesn't automatically mean Maddison = Glenn.
Grrr. I'm trying to be patient and wait for some answers, but it sucks. I just want Maddy back!

They just happened to see a sign for Kerrville while they were playing. Kerrville could give us a clue to where they were headed, though. Kerrville is about an hour from San Antonio off I-10, but it looks like they were traveling through and killed in a remote area.
that's what i've been saying! it's like they wanted to point out that they were headed west.

You know, it's OK to end a story by killing the hero(es). It's a time-honored tradition called "tragedy". But you know what else? This is no way to write a tragedy. It's supposed to be clear why the hero dies. There's supposed to be a coherent chain of events leading to the death. The death is supposed to prove a point. The plot up to now of MaddisonAtkins would appear to be:
Hero gets a strange message warning of a mysterious danger.
A seemingly meaningless drop is discovered.
Hero gets another message.
Another seemingly meaningless drop is discovered.
Hero gets yet another message.
Hero tries to contact the person sending messages.
Hit man posts a video seemingly warning he's about to kill hero.
Hero and sidekick flee.
Hero and sidekick killed by mysterious person outside unidentified mobile home.
Huh? I really, really hope there's more to it than this!

Here's a crazy (and probably wrong) thought:
What if this whole thing is a publicity stunt sponsored by the city of Nacogdoches? The sense of place in MaddisonAtkins was intense and focused attention on Nac's assets, such as a university, an azalea garden, a music festival, and beautiful neighborhoods. They could have hired Glenn to do it...

Move to Nacogdoches--we have pigeons and stalkers!

you're right. there a basic principles of a plot. problem, resolution. if the main character dying is a resolution, then fine. but this is no way to end a plot.
however, if maddy's part of a larger picture, the plot could continue even after her death.
Faked death

Not sure if anyone else has noticed/mentioned this yet. but during the talk about "why pigeons" there is a cut from night to day with uninterrupted dialogue. Their conversation is a voiceover post-edit. dead people don't usually edit videos

Welcome to the Forum!
*Goes to check out Solly's observation*
Yeah! It happens twice!
It could theoretically have been edited by the killer though, right? I'm not sure why he would do that, but in LG15world, everything seems to be edited.
Good observation though!
