could be coincidence that the turtle is named owen, might not be so i thought i would mention it...
The Lonesome October videos are wonderful fan-created material. Their creator is an occasional poster to Anchor Cove under the handle "Blackjack," so we know that it is neither Miles nor Mesh. Lonesome October was obviously drawing allusions to Lovecraft and to Ray Bradbury.

I am fairly certain that the turtle being named "Owen" is fanon which crossed over into the Breeniverse, just like the teddy bear being named "Thor."

I REALLY wish moderators would stop posting like something is gospel.
APPARENTLY LonesomeOctober is fan fiction but we don't know the videos really are..just makes one say Hmmmm. Plus the fact that the creator of video went out of his way to publically mentioning he was late for a radio show cause he had to buy a Purple Monkey for a prank....makes ME say Hmmh. Also Lonesome October is a DIRECT reference to one of Roger Zelazny's last books.
Is it just me or does Anchor Cove seem a bit like a snobitorium?*puts on flame retardant suit*

It kinda feels like the creators are going "um, yeah, that post's okay... yep, good... wait, i don't want them to think that or talk about it. MODERATOR! put a message on and squelch this!"

Just because he focuses in on it doesn't mean it's necessarily hers. I might've focused in on that too if I were to focus in on anything because that's the biggest window from the front view of the house and the one you can most clearly see. The other windows, you can't really see much but that one, you can see a computer and the window seems to be open.

Well, when she's moderating, she's a moderator and she doesn't need to be bitchy or caddy about her job or make false accusations. That's all I'm saying. If I do something wrong, tell me. fine. I'll say I'm sorry and I won't do it again. You don't have to be a brat about it.

damn, kas... you got what i think is a totally unnecessary smack down by the mod. for that other thread... unwarranted. you're generally damn good about not repeating.

the idea of moderators does make this operation seem pretty silly.

course you need mods, but...

since they're in a slightly elevated place of power you'd think, just for the sake of subtlety, they'd refrain from color-coding based on their VIP information line.

one of the benefits of living in socal is being so close to such wacky stuff. i was actually at the reservoir a couple days after they filmed, got pics of that too, but didn't even know there was a lonelygirl then (9/11)
