Ah yes, now there's clearly a different texture to it. It looks similar to a negative of what I got yesterday.Luminous wrote:Deagol,
Here's a link to the image you asked for:

AMALGAMATION is negative, 50% and the top layer. LIGATURES is positive, 100% and the bottom layer.

Here is an additional link - I went ahead and created one to your formula.

Thanks! I do like this one better, as it clearly shows all the stains in Amalgamation that were added to the Ligatures base. That stuff on the left does look a lot like pus and blood (eww).Luminous wrote:Here is an additional link - I went ahead and created one to your formula.

And as I thought, one is the negative of the other (which means it doesn't matter which is on top, just that the one on top is at 50%). I bet if you now overlaid these 2 you'd get a big box of 50% gray.
Thanks again.
Blood, pus and grey. Ick. Somebody else can do the 50% grey
You are right about the flipped image - I recreated it again. (already did it once yesterday, but didn't keep it ) It's true to the one you posted rather than the one with the Capricorn sign and all that other stuff

I'm not sure what I did to it yesterday that got a similar result as the capricorn thing. I must have been playing with the levels.
Anyway, with or without Capricorn I think there's some interesting markings in these images. What do you think about the 76 under the Theta/Pi?

In lui of the new video I suggest we focus on Theta/Pi.
That is the symbol Bree allegedly found in Jonas' cabin.

I think this may support the theory in the other thread that pi=speech. That this group (Gemma, Jonas) are manipulators.

I made a steroscopic version version of this when we initially began analyzing, but no one seemed interested. For what it's worth, here it is again.Opladybug wrote:I want you to know you are missing something critical in the pictures. There is much more to them than meets the eye. thoughts it might be helpful...maybe.
Luminous, there's definitely an image of some sort that stands out in 3-D, which, granted, I think would be unlikely to be an accident... but I can't for the life of me figure out what it's an image of. Part of me wants to say it's an image of two boys, sitting side-by-side, looking away from the camera... part of me says it's a hand (and arm) reaching down from the upper left... and part of me thinks it might be something else... and the rest of me thinks I'm playing with ink spots.

I originally saw a face in the background. The second image now just looks like torn pages layered on top of each other. The one that's making up the largest portion of the background on the lefthand side (of the second image) looks like it has writing on it and some kind of stain (or a chunk of another photo, but it's not high quality enough for anything difinitive). There's a large horizontal section on the top left that looks like something else (maybe the edge after being torn from a notebook?). The portion in the middle is behind the torn pages. I'm not sure what that is either, though it looks like a photograph of fire is sandwiched in there as well. If anyone thinks that's really worth looking into, I can highlight the portions that I'm refering to.
Edit: and I realize how the two images are meant to work. I dont see anything layered together that is something for sure.

So the latest note from Tachyon seems to suggest that what we thought were an omicron and pi could be incorrect.
So if we're not seeing an omicron here, I'm guessing it's a phi.
And if we're not seeing a pi here, then similar to the mu on the other symbol, this may be a nu. After all, if looks like , then could look like

I know, that's the problem - if there is an image here that really means something to the ARG, we should be able to see it, and reach a common agreement regarding it.
For another way of looking at sharpening our vision and blending our eyes, there is this overlay:
I ran each layer through the sharpen filter once, then blended them together using transparency. The Theta/Pi that you see in the lower right hand corner of the LIGATURES image is also present as a shadow form in the AMALGAMATION image. When I over lay the two "sharpened" images, the Theta/Pi "eyes" blend together. If you want to look at a larger version of this, it's at this link.

I've overlayed them the same way as you have. My goal is different. Looking at the two together in the stereoscope made it easier to see wordshapes on that page section on the left. I was trying to see if I could get words to appear. I think too much was lost in the blur, however. Someone really had some fun with photoshop. There's a couple different blur effects on there. If only it were as easy to enhance poor quality images in real life as it is on CSI.
