You be the judge:

There is a really tremendous book called "Phantoms in the Brain" which is about the latest discoveries in neuroscience. Amongst other things, it concludes that our brains are wired to make connections - that is how we function. When it get's out of whack - we become paranoid (and conspiracy theorists) but generally it helps with our survival. Many of the best stories work by taping into this phenomenon.

so within the image the images of the hands, the priest, and the blog are definitely edited. possibly the feet as well. why do we think some are edited while others aren't? especially when there is a pattern to it (if we assume the feet isn't edited).

They are all edited. The ones we call unedited are infact edited by being cropped to a small portion of the image. The mirror is missing the mirror itself, the Cardinal's face is blanked, the crowning baby is scaled down to the head and canal, the chalice is cropped to the chalice, the feet are cropped to the feet (and possibly inverted) and the webpage is inverted and distorted. They are all edited.

Ah...interesting. But I guess the Catholic church celebrated it on Oct. 1 (Sunday), as churches are wont to do.
I very much believe now that there is a blog out there... either it's related and she's showing us the inverted and upside-down image, or she took an image of a random blog to make a point... I'm going to keep looking for the blog.

Someone made the point on the Cassieiswaiting comments that a guy named Frank Ahrens is the reporter who wrote the article exposing LG15. Has this been concidered yet?

Cassie's clues are often rife with religiosity...so here's my interpretation:
All are references to the ritual. The chalice, simply, functions as the symbol of spilt blood. I think this whole clue set of the last 36 hours is to help us decode the ritual. Hence the book could possibly be a ritual book (My fraternity's ritual book looks remarkably like that) and was simply to point us to looking at the ritual.

I'm waitin for a christian group to freak out over the underlying occultist part of the plot within the LG15 videos. The video's are so succesful in reaching well over a million viewers, mostly being young adults seeing as though the youtube community and most other blog communities are supported by young adults. It's surprising it hasn't happened yet.

Ironically, that page mentions Samhain, which comes from ancient Ireland. I also mentioned Samhain at one point (though not by name) kinda off the cuff. Not that it has anything to do with anything... Just one of those interesting coincidences.

Edit: for spelling

on the day of saint francis: I personally do not know of any catholic churches that changed it to oct 1. However, i do know of several NON-catholic (other christian) churches that did.

But what would st francis possible have to do with this plot?

nothing, i think, but we were speculating yesterday that "frank" was st francis, and maybe the church bells intertwined meant that there might be a dead drop at a saint francis church in the same area... i'm more of a mindset that frank is not the saint
the little morse is the tinyurl for the pictures

oh ok, that's right.
I concur on st francis, though. I don't see it relating to the st.
