Don`t get pissed off by those who call you a liar without even knowing you... Or the reason why you said you don`t know anything about what your father did.

Plus, don`t let others get you down by saying your work is worth nothing. After all, you are trying to do your job as good as possible (congratulations on being employee of the month with Neutrogena, by the way!;-). I know how hard it is to get an adequate job when you are still young and don`t have any work-experience even if you are good in what you are doing...
