I think he probably filmed outside so we wouldn't disect the background of his friend's house. Simple and straightforward.
I think the cult should be ninjas... and steal him at night. Now that would be a twist.

Hi
Long time reader of forums but have just joined. Don't really have anything important to say just that I am so glad that Daniel is ok! I was starting to get worried that he was going to disapear of the face of the earth for a bit.
I was a bit surprised that he refered to her religions as a cult because I am pretty sure that is new. How much do you want to be that in the next video bree gets mad because he said they were a cult?

That was a strange video.. The only thing that truely stood out, and has been mentioned, is that Bree said Lucy was being sent away, yet continues to see her.
Daniel looks freaked out, and mentions that he knows they're following him - you think there's going to be another video with evidence?? Lucy and her black suit and sunglasses crew following Daniel sniper style?

Oh my gosh!! I'm sp happy that Daniel is fine. For a while there, it was all I could think about. Which is why I probably failed a test I had yesterday...*laughs*
Anyhoo, this seems like Daniel isnt being forced into anything. If anything, he's lying about his location to keep people away from him and so that Lucy and the rest of the cult can't follow him as easily. I don't think there is much of an underlying message in this one. However, I am excited to see what gets posted next....n_n

I suppose that Daniel has just failed to mention it, and I do realize that the character is supposed to be 17/18 years old...but, seriously: wouldn't you think his parents would wonder why he was staying at a friends? Wouldn't you think his folks would express concern over his B&E? I guess I'm presuming that they know about it (which could be a false assumption). Wouldn't they, at the very least, have some thoughts about Bree?
Well, we know Daniel graduated at the end of the last school year (at the latest), because Bree mentions how she couldn't go to his grad party, so it's likely that he's living on his own (does he have a job? anybody know?).
(EDIT: It would also appear that he has his own car, because I know of very few parents who would let their kid's friends learn to drive in their car)
Also, I mentioned in a different thread that I thought Daniel should talk to Bree's parents, since they aren't members of the Order of Dendereah and might not know what's going on, so hearing Daniel muse about talking to Bree's parents was the highlight of my day

What makes you think they aren't members? I was under the assumtion that they were members, but weren't allowed to "The Ceremony" for some reason we haven't been told. Why would they force Bree in to this religion her whole life, living in communes and making her do all of this preperation for a ceremony she knows nothing about if they weren't members? That doesn't make any sense at all.

I was wondering the same thing. Nowhere in the videos does it say that her parents aren't members, just that they couldn't go to the ceremony. That doesn't mean that they're not members. Maybe they just have the basic membership package.

Actually, in the "Learning to Drive" video, he's yelling at her because he thinks its suspicious that her parents aren't giving her any information about the ceremony, and she almost yells, "They're not Order of Denderah, okay??"
In the "Order of Denderah" video, Daniel confirms that's what she said.

I'll go back and watch again, but I'm pretty sure she say's "
You're not Order of Denderah, okay??"

In Learining to Drive Bree says "they aren't even Order of Denderah" to Daniel referring to her folks.
I remember this cause there was a huge forum disscusion on trying to figure out what she said. LOL
here is an excellent quote from that discussion

Daniel: Why won't you even talk to me about it?
Bree: Because you don't understand.
Daniel: What's there to understand? You don't even know what you're doing.
Bree: Yes I do!
Daniel: What are you talking about? If I was you and I was working as hard as you are right now, I'd wanna know what it was all for.
Bree: I do! It's a huge honour for me - okay, whatever! It's... ???
Daniel: What are you, what are you talking about? Don't you think it's weird that they're not even telling you about this whole thing?
Bree: NO! I don't think it's weird! They don't know, okay?
Daniel: What...
Bree: They're...
Daniel: What'd you mean...
Bree: They're not...
Daniel: What are you ta - what do you mean they don't ???
Bree: ...order of ???, okay?
Daniel: Order of what? ...what?
Bree: I just wanna go... just take me home.
Daniel: Just come back... come back here!
later we of course found out is was Order of Denderah

Well, I went back and watched and you are absolutely right! But that makes it even more confusing for me. Why did her parents drag her all over the world, living in communes with these people if they aren't even members? Also, I don't remember the word "Denderah" being so clear in this video. I remember not understanding what she said until Daniel came out with it. Maybe I hear it now because I know, but it seems like a different cut to me.

Yup, she does say that her parents aren't part of the Order of Denderah. Looks like Bree isn't telling the whole story. I'm starting to think that the real ceremony hasn't happened yet and they can't perform it until they get Daniel out of the picture. But hopefully this friend of Daniel is a super slueth or a 10th degree black belt!
