In this article, the OP aphid refers to lineage of aphids that undergo obligate parthenogenesis. I doubt this relates, but parthenogenesis means "virgin birth" and is the process of the development of a female without fertilization and is a form of asexual reproduction. In the article, OP is simply an abbreviation so the authors don't have to write out "obligate parthenogenesis" each time they mention it.

so what is a small detail in each video, that we may have blindly passed over?

oh maybe we need to remove the letter a from every video? that's probably not it, but it COULD be.

woot!! edit!!!: i would love to go to sleep, but at this point, i have been watching the videos in the dark for the past hour, and now i have to wait untill sun rise to go to sleep. i hate it when that happens.

well if it is me, i am just as confused as the rest of you. the best i can figure is that the letter "A" needs taking out of the videos, and then the vids need to be looked at again.
