Not only is that message incredibly out of character for OpA (formal, stilted, no witty combacks, references, puns, etc.), but it does not indicate the normal level of trust she puts in her agents in the outside world. I'm not going to the chat anyway, so it doesn't matter that much to me (and I didn't tell OpA that, so that's not a reason for me not to have gotten this message). But I'm forced to conclude that OpA's not as gullible as you think, killthesmiley, and sent you that message as a reminder precisely because they do not trust you.

that is a good point

she did make it obvious she didn't want this posted,
as i stated before to pushed button in the chat...
she probably did want us to post it
killthesmiley, I'm kind of inclined to agree with something Panda hinted at above. If no veterans (and I use that term in a totally non-pejorative sense) received this message, but several newcomers to OpA did, then maybe this is OpA's test for you newcomers to determine loyalty. Those of us who've been here longer have already been tested in a fashion similar to this; maybe OpA wanted to be sure they were getting the right stuff again. Either way, I'm afraid everyone knows where you stand now.

To be honest, my messages are never that long and I'm a little jealous. I get one or two sentences, not a damn novel.
I've been playing for a long time (about the middle of October, anyway, and before that, CiW). I don't know why I got one.
Apparently she questioned your loyalty.

She was right.

Nice post Tilt. I agree...the last section in the email says, "Do not post this in the forum"

We now know who failed.

Hmmm. Well, I didn't mention it until someone else did. In fact, I didn't even know about it until I read this thread.

failed or not it's about choosing sides

and the people who failed choose a side

and that is our side.

No I didn't. Prior to your screen caps, I thought you were pulling our legs.

I have never been one on the receiving end of her tests. Maybe its because she thinks I'm crazy (more then one message has told me to get therapy :D ). I never got one of the infamous phone calls and I didn't get the novel she sent you.

Like I said, I'm not going to the Bree chat tonight...so what motivation do I have to lie about this message?

The only time I saw this was when killthesmiliey sent it to me. Is she the only source? if so I still think it's fake.

Some can be trusted with a secret, while others obviously cannot.

Do not be so quick to believe everything that you read, especially when there are agents amongst you who wish to interfere by spreading disinformation.

The truly worthy should ask themselves if they understand what is being asked of them.

Only then will they be prepared for the challenges ahead.

I think that sums it up nicely.
