I’ll post it again, but it’ll just be called silly again…
Actually, the first thought I had was to what extent this symbol had any meaning to Bree, or more importantly, Bree’s parents and the occult. It’s an interesting connection, actually. The infinity symbol itself is unremarkable. It has been depicted in many occult and mathmatical texts. One of the more interesting ones is the infinty symbol depicted as serpents swallowing their own tail or a double ouroboros . Bree’s Dad is also probally familiar with the Caduceus, or medical staff, also depicted serpents in forming a (DNA)? loop of infinity symbols, but the head face each other and are not joined. Why? Because that symbol has direct ties to the ancient belief of ALTERED or Divine genetic code, dating back to ancient Babylonian and Biblical times. Many occult societies (including the Freemasons) believe that man’s DNA has been altered, the infinity loop broken and imbedded with divine knowledge. One of the primary believers of this notion was Aleister Crowley. One of his favorite passages in the Bible is Ezekiel 28:3-15. “Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret they can hide from you…You have been in Eden the garden of God…You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so…you were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you.” These were the words of Satan onto man, basically explaining to him that the key to ETERANL LIFe was hidden in his genome. Many Freemasons believe that only the very wise have known for centuries that our DNA has been altered.
So the question remains: Who or what does either Bree’s parents or the Order think she is and what key does she hold? "

I would be wary of blowing it off as just a company logo, as it seems too artistic (it appears to be drawn in calligraphy, or at least originally drawn in calligraphy and reproduced as such). I think that a typical corporate logo wouldn't appear so old fashioned/cryptic/artistic/whatever you want to call it...
maybe i'm reaching here but, could bree's dad work in antisense therapy?
that could be behind the "proving science wrong" stuff. bree's word play on what her dad did. it fits with the rybozyme thing. and there is an isis pharmaceutical in carlsbad, that is big into the antisense therapy. gene therapy, i guess we would call it. correcting genetic disease conditions. very real but also experimental. if bree's dad was the genius with this stuff and the order was pushing him in a direction he didn't want to go, bree may have been used as the leverage to force him to continue and the hamster or guinea pig it was being tested on to ensure he was doing as they Ordered. again, the watchers were truly simply watching.

It's way too early to discard any theory. They all have potential. Bree's dad is clearly becoming more important to the story and the fact that he's in biotechnology must be significant.ericski wrote:have at me trainer
In all likelyhood, it will be a combination of things. But, that's just my guess.
It's ALL connected...
infinity symbol
I think it is supposed to be some reference to an infinity symbol. One of the things Aleister Crowley did was sell longevity capsules to lenghten one\'s life. The whole \"Do as you like under the law\" thing translates to \"Man, thou shalt not die\" under the hermetic Orders he studied in (the Golden Dawn). I think that the company had something to do with bioengineering products to lenghthen one\'s lifespan. Probably just some new age supplements or something. Bree\'s parents are just hippies in a commune, gotta love \'em though.
\"Should a man have a hundred children and live many years, no matter to what great age, still if he has not the full benefit of his goods, or if he is deprived of burial, of this man I proclaim that the child born dead is more fortunate than he.\" Ecclesiastes 7:3

Symbols
I KNOW I've seen that symbol somewhere before and it's driving me bonkers that I can't recall what it is. It's possible the symbol is a lemniscate or a double ouroboros, sometimes referred to as a Mobious Strip. Or it could be the alchemical sign for Bismuth or even an hourglass. But if that IS what it is they're drawing it wrong. It should be symmetrical. No, I think it's something else. Something I know I've seen before. Perhaps not a symbol but a letter or a rune. I'll figure it out.
An interesting side note. There IS a company called Infinity Pharmaceuticals. One of their board of directors, Dr. Harry Hixson, Jr., developed Epogen. But their company logo is more of a Triscele or Triquetra.
Namaste, Prana

Prana, welcome! I must say your writing style is so conversational; it's like you are speaking directly to the reader. Neat. I hope you continue contributing to this dialogue.
Actually, according to Infinity Phar.’s Board of Director’s Page "Dr. Hixon served as Amgen’s President and Chief Operating Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors from 1988 to 1991. During this period, Amgen developed two blockbuster therapeutic products, Epogen and Neupogen. " Dr.Hixon ran Amgen while Epogen was being developed by a separate team of scientists.
According to this Fortune magazine article about Leroy E. Hood, 64-year-old biologist-technologist, Hood and his team developed Epogen. Incidentally, Hood attended “the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, where he studied under the likes of Linus Pauling and Richard Feynman.” (my emphasis)
Again, welcome!

Prana and GoGo your research is fabulous and if any print is to be believed yours is authenticatable (real word?) as any.
Here is my problem
It is impossible that these guys are even remotely associated with this IMS and its story line.
I would suspect that the authors (Note: I will not call them "Creators") are dancing over a very thin line if they are implicating those researchers or their companies in the slightest. I would even think that those pharmaceutical copanies would be a little excited about any implication tha their products were involved in an Internet fantasy.
That is where I get confused. You and many others make a GREAT case for drugging these children but it stretches the realm of reality beyond just asking us to "suspend our disbelief"
It is where the whole illuminade thing breaks down...if there was word of it "outside" all things would be done to stop it. I can't go into that any further.
anyway, if we are hoping to crack this case we may be better off concetrating on things less provable, things more in the realm of fiction and NOT within the realm of business, especially VERY BIG business like the pharmaceuticals!
I vote for "reindeer blood"

Slainte-
I would agree with your point about any specific people or companies being named. I just wanted to present information about the developer of Epogen, since there have been a couple of different folks named as the "Creators" of Epogen.
I felt the same way about the medication/psychological condition theories. I don't think the writers are going to be specific about anything at all. (Remember the religious research that turned out to be research for a not-a-religion-order?) It would probably be too complicated. That is why I created a thread (that no one seems interested in ) discussing which theories have actually worked out since the beginning. This could probably help viewers/sleuths notice any pattern that would allow us to focus on theorizing in more meaningful ways.
Thanks for your thoughtful reply.

Nothing is definate yet, so its hard to say what it is or isn't.
But if you google "eight laying on its side" and "symbol"...that infinity symbol will come up.

Can't this statement be applied to every single post on this board? Hmmm.nobackspacebutton wrote: Nothing is definate yet, so its hard to say what it is or isn't.
Well, her religion isn't Thelema. And as I mentioned in some other post, I have a hard time thinking that this story is going to go off on a schizophrenic angle. I would also agree with Slanite that the writers thus far have been pretty careful not to be specific about real-life entities (like a "religion/order"). I really don't think that Amgen (the company behind Epogen) plays a role in this story. Nor, do I think this is the lg15 team's first try at product placement for Epogen. Nor do I think it is an infinity symbol.
Speculating that something is possible is just the same as speculating that something isn't possible. Right?
I don't see how googling and 8 on its side and symbol proves anything at all.
