Epogen: (not just for kidney diseases or hemopoesis...Also used prior to surgeries in which massive blood loss is suspected)

This medication is used to treat anemia (low red blood cell count) in people with long-term serious kidney disease (chronic renal failure), people receiving zidovudine to treat HIV, and people receiving chemotherapy drugs for some types of cancer (non-myeloid cancers). It may also be used in anemic patients to reduce the need for blood transfusions before certain planned surgeries that have a high risk of blood loss. Epoetin alfa helps to reverse anemia and improves your energy and activity level, sense of well-being, and overall health. It works by signaling the bone marrow to make more red blood cells. This medication is very similar to the natural substance in your body (erythropoietin) that prevents anemia.

EPOGENĀ® is contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled hypertension. Erythropoietic therapies may increase the risk of seizures, thrombotic events, and other serious events

breeislonely wrote:also what was the purpose of showing the car? they gave us three clear shots of it, unless it was for suspense only which i doubt
I think it was just suspense. It told us that Daniel wasn't alone, so that built suspense right there, but especially when he heard somebody and started freaking out.

By the way, I think Epogen just got some nice product placement. Hope the Creators are getting payed for that one.

I took screenshots of each one, just in case they are, and so we can look more closely at them :)

See my post above...its use is specific for blood loss due to chemo or surgeries in which massive blood loss is suspected.

Iron would also increase Hemoglobin levels in patients in which massive blood loss was suspected.

Let me just jump in here and ask that we all get through one new vid's thread without killing each other.

the room numbers + the elevator 2b or w/e are probably a phone number if you mix them right.

but then again, now everyone just could be looking for phone numbers in everything since bree's last phone home video.

That date is the expiration date, required for all medications. Epogen has a short "shelf life" due to its stability. The number before that is the product and or batch number for tracing identification in case there is a problem with medication.
