Epogen is usually taken for two reasons:
1. For patients with anemia (usually with cancer or with kidney failure, and other reasons for anemia.)
2. For athletes for doping purposes. Can be used before event to build up red blood cells for very aerobic activities or during event if the event is over days or weeks. Common for bicycling because the events are often done in stages over time so athletes' red blood cell counts normally goes down after each stage. Epogen will replenish red blood cell count and it really does help cyclists. It is illegal to do this, of course, and Amgen is working to stop this.
He is going to watch the video and if I get any more info, I will pass it on.
Very cool about your brother.
So, I was thinking there should be some sort of connection between all the drugs and things learned. Something comprehensive you know? Could you ask him about a possible scenario where all the drugs we learned about might come into play?
For example,
Is it possible that someone could pick up some kind of bacteria infection like Camplobcter living on a commune, and then needs to be treated with maybe an antibotic like
Zosyn?...
However, the infection has been known to also trigger...something like Guillain-Barre Syndrom (GBS)/or(CIDP), "which may be an autoimmune disorder where the body produces antibodies that damage the myelin sheat substance that surronds (neuron) axons." So, something like
Cerebyx might also be temporarily given so that the "Phenytoin, stabilizes neuronal membranes and decreases seizure activity."
However, "the main treatment for GBS/CIDP is immunotherapy, which includes plasma exchange
<removing the liquid plasma from the blood> or high intravenous immune globulins (IVIG)
<protective blood proteins given from healthy volunteers into the vein>."
In turn, with all that blood adding and/or subtracting someone might be given
Epogen and iron pills to help faciliate the production of the healthy blood cells, to move the recovery along quicker. Something like that??
Warning: Random Thoughts
- There's a hard core diet that use to be used alot more and now as a last ditch effort if other drugs don't work for seizuer/neuron activity problems. The Ketone diet. High fat, low carbs, I was entertaining the thought for awhile that it might've been Bree's diet, but the cookies and milk (the sugar) she supposedly had the day before the fake ceremony would ruin it...so eh. It's interesting tho that for some kids with seizures who are on the diet for about 2 years their bodies adapt and the seizures go by-by.
- I was also thinking that with bacteria infections, neuron firing problems, blood issues, dieting..there would be some fluid/electrolyte inbalance issues. (sodium, potassium, calcium, ect). If you had a neuron firing/thinking/reflex problem would you want more salt in or more salt out?
Speaking of neurons I wonder if you could describe the Religion/Order in terms of a neuron and/or the nevous system. Funny,
Dendrites [/b](from Greek dendron, “tree”) are the branched projections of a neuron that act to conduct the electrical stimulation received from other neural cells to the cell body, or soma, of the neuron from which the dendrites project. There's even pyramindal neurons for the Illuminati junkies.
- With all the referances of immunities, allergies, becoming stronger, antibodies, t-helpers, bacteria, ribosomes, proteins, genes, mRNA, mRNA purification kits, SAM (Significance Analysis of Microarrays), Exons, they should play a role in all the drugs and blood as well. Are they trying to make a super adaptable Brie cheese antibody mold or what? (grins) Bree might fullfill her Daddy's dreams and become a "big shot" yet.
