I believe I'm where you are now. He hasn't sent me a note back yet, but I've given him what he asked for. I agree that given the nature of it, it shouldn't be spoiled just yet. This is becoming very interesting!McPackage wrote:
There's a little more to this one after he adds you as a friend. I won't spoil it for now, but after I got through everything

The answer is Valine. Using this as the last name allows you to submit the MySpace friend request.AUG = START
GUA = valine
UAA = END
The quote is from James Joyce, and reminds me of another James Joyce quote from the "Set Of Five" puzzle: "Mistakes are the portals to discovery."A man of genius makes no mistakes. His errors are volitional and are the portals of discovery.

Now, back to codon codes. This time, the numbers correspond to the letter in the codon code's corresponding amino acid.Welcome, friend. There comes a point in every relationship where the bond must either strengthen or dissipate. That point is now. What I need from you is GCU1 CCU1UUU2GGU3UCU1AUU1UGU1GUU2AUU4 CUC1CCU3UGC1GUC2ACA1AGA4CCU3CUG6 UAU1CCU3 UCG1UUC2AAA4CCA1 AAU1 UUC1AUU1ACC3UGC1UCC2UUA1. It is essential that the necessary steps are taken upon receipt. Respond to my Youtube account with the information requested. Priority will be given to the first responder, and all sensitive information will be quickly erased as data holding facilities seem to be especially susceptible these days. Good luck to us all.
So, the request is:GCU1 = alanine
CCU1 = proline
UUU2 = phenylalanine
GGU3 = glycine
UCU1 = serine
AUU1 = isoleucine
UGU1 = cysteine
GUU2 = valine
AUU4 = isoleucine
CUC1 = leucine
CCU3 = proline
UGC1 = cysteine
GUC2 = valine
ACA1 = threonine
AGA4 = arginine
CCU3 = proline
CUG6 = leucine
UAU1 = tyrosine
CCU3 = proline
UCG1 = serine
UUC2 = phenylalanine
AAA4 = lysine
CCA1 = proline
AAU1 = asparagine
UUC1 = phenylalanine
AUU1 = asparagine
ACC3 = threonine
UGC1 = cysteine
UCC2 = serine
UUA1 = leucine
I send my mailing address to TravelerJ19's YouTube account. The response I got was:What I need from you is a physical location to send a parcel.
I'm assuming that means I was first and should therefore expect something to arrive in the mail.Well done. Based on your work thus far, I am confident that you will be able to perform the task at hand.
Whew.... I'm up to speed on this now... You guy's worked very quickly. VERY quickly. I'm going to have to be on my best game to become a member of the J19 crowd.WonkaNerdsRule wrote:FYI, I sent in my answer shortly after McPackage did (at least, I think it was shortly after) . Anyway, I have NOT received a message from Traveler J, so it does appear that it was the first one only (it was a bit ambiguous with him saying he'd give "priority" to the 1st one). If that changes, I'll let you know.
I was trying to keep that last step secret so others would have the joy of discovering what was wanted and could message him with their shipping info on their own. Since it does seem like it was the first one only, then I guess there's no reason now not to have the answer known to all.
This is as good a place as any for the moment. If something develops from this, we'll split it off into another thread. What's interesting to me is whether this might relate in any way to Daniel's apparent aversion to water - as discussed in the Swimming and Motel threads. Hmmm...Luminous wrote:I'm not sure if this is pertinent or if this is the right place to post this, but I just found ths link pertaining to Valine:
http://www.anyvitamins.com/valine-info.htm
"Toxicity and symptoms of high intake
Very high levels of valine can cause symptoms such as a crawling sensation on the skin, as well as hallucinations. Individuals with kidney or liver disease should be careful in consuming high intakes of amino acids without consulting their doctor."
Also this on wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valine
"valine is hydrophobic"
hydrophobic - Now how an essential amino acid can fear water is beyond my understanding, but the concept plays into earlier discussions from swimming, motel pool etc. It seems like water, who's afraid of it, and who's not seems to be an important piece of the puzzle.
If you pronounce "Mr. AUGGUAUAA" it sounds like Mr. Agua, the spanish word for water.
Don't know if this relates, because it comes from other fan fic, but I noticed the wave in Voyboys "Dream Two" video, is very similar to the wave in TravelerJ's "Catalyst". Also, the water drip in the most recent HSAO video echoes the water drip in the "Catalyst".
Trainer, if this is not the right place to post this info, let me know where I should put it.
