Guys, I think if Maddy does turn out to be dead, I'm out. Even if Zipp is alive and chooses somebody else, I couldn't bear to get emotionally involved in another one when I know what's going to happen. Besides, I fell hard for Maddy. Nobody that comes next would ever be as good as her, at least not in my mind.

Presumably she would also still be talking to us, but she's not doing that either. I don't think we've even seen anything directly from her since War Pylol's return, have we?ApotheosisAZ wrote:OpAphid would brag about a successful hit. She still hasn't done so.
In any case, "A warning to others" sounds pretty boastful to me.
How do we know?ApotheosisAZ wrote:She has other people who carry out her tasks, but not this guy.
But, again, what would that benefit them? OpAPHID would know if their guy had confirmed a hit. They'd especially konw if their guy did it if they could see the killer on camera.ApotheosisAZ wrote:The warpylol tag in the video has to be from someone who saw the warpylol vid. They want everyone to believe it was warpylol.

Lurker, your points are well made as always.
I'm telling you my gut here is that Maddy is dead. She disassembled the "War Nook" before she fled, and she had the passwords for her account written down; she probably had everything neatly arranged in a folder in the car.
How do we know the guy isn't with OpAphid? We don't. I was making an observation based on the fact that I am somewhat familiar with OpAphid's style.
It would benefit Maddy if she were able to use some ruse to fake her and Adam's demise, especially if warpylol were only contracted to find them. I'm not the first to suggest that possibility.
Texas does do controlled burns of areas that seem prone to wildfire. They burn off areas and dig firebreaks.

That's quite possible, but I don't think she would write down the passwords. Maddy stated that the passwords on her accounts was one that she typically used. She guessed on the first try... it was instinctual. There would be no reason for her to record a sensitive password that she could so easily recall.ApotheosisAZ wrote:I'm telling you my gut here is that Maddy is dead. Either way, I doubt the password issue really makes much difference. As I stated on a different thread (since all of them are now scattered and random :-p). If The Order/Warpy/Whoever spent 15 days tracking this email from one person to another, down to their physical locations, I don't see why they couldn't also crack the pass codes for the accounts.

I've lived all over Texas for most of my life and thats all those were. I actually see these regularly when I have to drive across the state to school.ApotheosisAZ wrote:

Thank you.ApotheosisAZ wrote:Lurker, your points are well made as always.
Is or isn't? Your other post seemed to suggest that you think she's alive.ApotheosisAZ wrote:I'm telling you my gut here is that Maddy is dead.
That's inconsistent with what we know about him. When he was sent to kill Brother, Tachyon and others in the Culper Ring intercepted a message that said "location verified, D in APHID" - as this recent one did - just prior to Brother's place getting blown up by him.ApotheosisAZ wrote:It would benefit Maddy if she were able to use some ruse to fake her and Adam's demise, especially if warpylol were only contracted to find them. It also seems to kind of contradict the idea that they would be dead in 15 days if they're going to send somebody to find them after 15 days, but not do anything to them. And if you intended to kill them, why wouldn't you have the same person doing the location verifying take care of it (especially if you've used them as an assassin before)?

Well, she did suspect that she might fall victim to foul play. Would you write everything down if you suspected as much? I would.TheeBerean wrote:

Because they had previously failed? I am grasping at straws here. I'm like many others here, but my reasons are different.Lurker wrote:...if you intended to kill them, why wouldn't you have the same person doing the location verifying take care of it (especially if you've used them as an assassin before)?
I just don't like to think that Oppy did this in such a trashy manner. It's kind of like the way I and others felt when Oppy was found to be in cahoots with Gemma. It just felt wrong.
